I stood in the darkness of the abandoned warehouse, taking in the shattered remains of my adoptive family.
The Nightshades were once the most feared and respected cybernetic Hunters in Neo City.
Now, they were nothing more than a pile of broken bodies.
I was the only one left.
How had it come to this?
The world was being overtaken by chaos creatures, and the cybernetic Hunters were fighting a losing battle to keep them at bay.
I had joined the fight, eager to prove my worth to my family and myself.
But I was not expecting things to turn out like this.
Now, I was all alone, except for the body of my adoptive mother, Elena Nightshade, lying at my feet.
My heart ached at the sight of her lifeless form.
She had been an incredible woman and a formidable leader of our family for many years.
But now, her body was broken and battered, her blood staining the floor beneath her.
I knew that she was beyond saving.
It had been my fault.
I should have listened to her when she told me not to use my power of the fallen meteor, but I couldn’t help it.
I didn’t know what to do, how to fight against the chaos creatures that seemed to be everywhere.
