I met Mia Thompson for the first time when she was flipping me off.
She thought she was alone, but I saw her.
Naked, pink hair dripping wet, and looking like she wanted to kill someone.
I didn’t recognize her at first, and I’ll be the first to admit that I was checking her out, but she looked so damn good.
Then she went all psycho on me, and I was just trying to figure out who she was and why the hell she was at my place.
So, yeah… not the best first impression, but that’s how it all started.
I didn’t know it then, but meeting Mia would change my life in more ways than one.
And despite the fact that she almost broke my nose that first time we met and then spent the next five minutes cursing me out, I knew there was something special about her.
I wanted to get to know her.
And boy, did we get to know each other well.
She even gave me my first tattoo.
Vibrant pink hair, black wings tattooed on her back, and a smile that could light up a room, Mia was unlike anyone I’d ever met before.
She was tough, but there was something playful about her as well.
It was in the way her eyes sparkled and shined as she shot me a smug grin.
The way she’d cock her hip and raise an eyebrow as if daring me to say or do anything to piss her off.
And the way she’d toss her head back when she laughed just loud enough for everyone around us to stop what they were doing and look in her direction.
Mia didn’t just walk into a room; she commanded it.
And the moment those big green eyes of hers met mine for the first time, I knew I was screwed—in the best possible way.
She had this undeniable pull over me, a powerful connection that I couldn’t explain then and still can’t now.
Looking back, maybe it was fate or destiny or whatever bullshit you want to call it, but from the very beginning, being with Mia felt right.
In an instant, we were inseparable.
From that first day when I saw Mia flip me off from across the room, we became fast friends, our love for cars and street racing bringing us even closer together.
She made everything exciting.
The mundane suddenly felt extraordinary, and with Mia at my side, I felt invincible.
We’d spend hours at the shop, working on cars and talking shit, and then we’d head out to race in the middle of the night hoping not to get caught by the cops.
It was always an adventure with Mia, and soon enough, I found myself falling hard and fast for the sassy, green-eyed beauty with the tough exterior and wicked sense of humor.
But I knew better than to cross the line with Mia.
I’d seen the men who tried and failed, and I wasn’t about to put our friendship at risk over some dumb mistake.
