Guardians of Kyiv: The Quest for Wisdom

Scenario:In the heart of Kyiv, where ancient temples blend with modern skyscrapers, lived an ordinary teenager named Maksym. He went to a regular school and was particularly fascinated by history—especially the legends of ancient Kyiv and the mysterious artifacts that, according to folklore, held unimaginable power. No one could have imagined that Maksym would soon step out of his everyday life and find himself at the center of events that could change everything. One gloomy evening, as the sky turned deep shades of purple, Maksym stumbled upon an old map in his family’s library. It had once belonged to his great-grandfather. On the map, mysterious locations were marked, with the words engraved above: "The Three Artifacts of Wisdom. Guardians of Kyiv." When Maksym showed the map to his grandfather, the old man looked at him gravely and said: "There’s an ancient legend that has been passed down through our family. Only one who finds these artifacts can save Kyiv from the darkness that is coming." From that moment, something unseen seemed to be guiding Maksym forward. He knew this wasn’t just a game—it was something much bigger. A journey awaited him, one that would take him through time and space, where he’d have to solve ancient riddles and unlock the power hidden within the artifacts to protect his city from an age-old evil.

The room was dimly lit, only a few rays of sunlight managing to break through the thick curtains.

It was evening, and the sky had turned deep shades of purple.

I sat at my desk, staring blankly at the old, yellowed map in front of me.

My fingers traced the lines of Kyiv’s streets, stopping at the three locations marked with a big X.

Then I looked up at my grandfather, who stood by the bookshelves, watching me intently.

"Tell me more," I said.

My grandfather hesitated before coming over and sitting in the chair next to mine.

He took the map from me and carefully smoothed it out on the table.

"Do you remember what I’ve told you about our family?"

He looked at me.

"We come from a long line of historians," I said.

"Yes. And also treasure hunters."

He smiled slightly as he added, "At least that’s what your great-grandfather used to say."

"He never found anything?"

"No. Unfortunately not. But he did leave us this map when he died."

My grandfather ran his finger along the marked routes on the map.
