My heart was pounding in my chest, but I wasn’t tired.
I didn’t feel any strain from running so fast—I felt amazing.
It was like nothing could touch me; nothing could slow me down.
As I ran, a huge smile spread across my face, and I let out a whoop of excitement.
This is amazing!
I thought to myself as I ran even faster through the forest.
It had been almost a week since we had discovered the artifact in that cave, and it still didn’t feel real.
If someone had told me that digging up some old crystal would give us superpowers, I never would have believed them—but here we were.
After a few minutes, I finally slowed down and came to a stop in the middle of the forest.
I bent over and put my hands on my knees, trying to catch my breath.
My heart was still racing from the sheer exhilaration of running so fast, but I couldn’t help but want more.
It was like an addiction; I couldn’t get enough of it.
With one last deep breath, I stood back up and looked around me.
Everything seemed to be moving in slow motion after running at superhuman speeds for so long.
I could see every leaf on every tree; I could hear every bird in the sky.
There’s no way this is real, right?
I thought to myself as I looked around in amazement.
But deep down, I knew that it was real—I had just run through a forest at superhuman speeds.
If that wasn’t proof enough, then nothing would be.
So much for an ordinary summer vacation
