I've never been one to cry, but I'd come damn close recently.

It's not becoming of a woman like me, I know.

But the pain of losing someone you love, it's a pain that's hard to control.

Especially when you're drunk.

Which is exactly what I am, right now.

Arthur Morgan sits across from me, sipping on a bottle of whiskey.

The moon is high overhead, illuminating the two of us as we sit in the woods just north of Saint Denis.

We'd tried to pull off a heist down there and failed miserably.

The law had shown up and we barely made it out alive.

Now we're in hiding, at least for the time being.

"Another?"

Arthur asks me.

I nod and he hands me the bottle.

I take a swig, letting the burning liquor slide down my throat before handing it back to him.
