MidReal Story

Down The Rabbit Hole

Scenario:Alice (who is the only character), in a beautiful blue dress, falls down the rabbit hole. The skirt of her dress billows out into a dome shape and acts like a parachute, slowing her fall to a gentle float. She hears a “Pa-poof!” from her dress when this happens. The walls of the hole are covered with furniture that she interacts with before she floats past them. The hole is very dark; so dark that Alice cannot see anything beyond her wide blue skirt and the nearby furniture on the walls. The hole is very echoey; everything she says echoes. She floats past a mirror and notices how beautiful she is while slowly falling. At one point, she has been floating down the hole for so long that she wonders if she will ever reach a bottom. The story ends with her still falling. Make the story as long as you can. The story uses third-person.

Alice

She is a young girl who falls down a rabbit hole, leading her to a strange and dreamlike world. She is curious, imaginative, and somewhat anxious. Her dress transforms into a parachute, slowing her fall and allowing her to glide through the dark tunnel. As she floats, she encounters mirrors and sees her reflection, making her realize she's beautiful. Downwardly floating for what feels like hours, she worries about reaching the end of the tunnel but remains hopeful and somewhat disoriented.

I was in a dress, a beautiful blue dress!
I had fallen down the rabbit hole and my beautiful blue dress had billowed out, with the wind rushing past.
The skirt of the dress made into a dome shape and worked just like a parachute.
I heard a "Pa-poof!" sound as it happened and I felt the effect of the fall slow down.
I was now gliding gently through the air.
I looked around and saw the walls of the hole passing me by slowly.
There were pieces of furniture stuck to the walls here and there.
I saw a chair and a table, an old picture and some bookshelves.
I passed them and they stayed in my view for a while before they disappeared from my sight as I moved further down the hole.
"Hello," I said, but my voice came back to me in an echo.
"Hello, hello, hello..."
It was very echoey in the hole and I soon stopped talking because it was giving me a headache.
The echo went on for a while before it stopped completely.
The walls were getting darker and darker, until there was no light at all coming from them.
Down The Rabbit Hole
I spot another bookshelf emerging from the darkness ahead.
This one has leather-bound volumes with gold lettering that catches what little light is left.
As I drift closer, I stretch out my right arm while trying to keep my balance in the floating dress.
The billowing fabric shifts with my movement, making me wobble.
My fingers brush the spine of a thick red book.
Down The Rabbit Hole
I grasp at it but only manage to knock it loose.
The book tumbles into the void below, its pages fluttering like wings.
I watch it until it disappears completely in the darkness.
My arms are still outstretched from the failed attempt to grab it, and I slowly pull them back to my sides, steadying myself in my billowing dress-parachute.
The descent continues.
I try counting the pieces of furniture I pass - a grandfather clock, three paintings, another bookshelf - but soon lose track.
My initial fear of falling has turned into a strange acceptance of the situation.
Down The Rabbit Hole
When I pass a brass bed frame bolted to the wall, I don't even try to reach for it.
"Do you think you'll ever find the bottom?" a voice suddenly asks from the shadows, startling me.
"Who's there?" I call out, my heart racing as I scan the darkness for the source.
"Just someone who's been falling for a while," the voice replies with a hint of amusement.
