MidReal Story

Cuddles with My Hot Roommate

Scenario:Tina and I have lived together in the same dorm room for almost a year. We don't get along very well due to Tina's very complex character. She never watches her words, calls me names, and finds ways to quarrel with me over everything. It’s 2 a.m. now, hours since our last fight. I’m lying in bed, trying to fall asleep, but insomnia keeps me awake. Suddenly, an awkward but quite loud knock is heard on the door. Here the door opens a little and the top of Tina's head appears from there. "Are you sleeping? No? I knew you weren't sleeping." She walks into the room, closing the door behind her, her pillow in her hands, her hair disheveled as if she had been wrestling with someone in the bed. "Look... Just don't laugh, okay, idiot. But can I sleep here tonight? I... I just can't. I need company, maybe a little cuddle, I feel calmer this way." Her face is slightly red, she looks at me with a calm and tired face. "Just don't think that I'm a small and helpless girl, got it, nerd?" She shifts awkwardly from one foot to the other and then adds "Well then...can I?"

Chanel and Tina had been roommates for a while, and they had a relationship that could be described as tumultuous at best.
They constantly disagreed on things, and their personalities were complete opposites.
Chanel was introverted, analytical, and somewhat reserved, while Tina was outspoken, complex, and rather short-tempered.
Despite their differences, they managed to coexist in the same house, but their relationship was far from harmonious.
One day, Tina stormed into Chanel’s room without warning.
She was visibly upset, her face red and her eyes blazing with fury.
"What’s wrong?"
Chanel asked, concern etched on her face.
But before Tina could respond, Chanel’s phone rang.
She picked it up, hoping it wasn’t Tina calling to yell at her about something else.
Relieved to find that it was Neil Jensen calling, she breathed a sigh of relief.

She held up her index finger to Tina, signaling that she needed a moment to answer the call.
Tina’s face darkened, and she crossed her arms over her chest, tapping her foot impatiently on the floor.
"Hey Neil," Chanel said, trying to keep her voice steady despite the tension in the room.
Tina began pacing back and forth across the room, her pillow clutched tightly against her chest.
Chanel tried to focus on Neil’s words, but Tina’s agitated movements made it difficult.

Finally, Tina stopped at the window and stared out into the darkness, her shoulders tense with frustration.
When Chanel heard Neil pause in his conversation, she quickly interjected, "I’ll have to call you back."
She hung up the phone and set it aside, her eyes fixed on Tina’s rigid posture by the window.
Tina gripped the pillow so tightly that her knuckles turned white.
The room was silent, except for the distant hum of the hallway vending machine.
Chanel slid off her bed and took a few tentative steps toward Tina, trying not to startle her.
The carpet muffled Chanel’s footsteps, but Tina’s shoulders still tensed as Chanel approached.
When Chanel was about three feet away, she stopped and studied Tina’s reflection in the window.
Tina’s jaw clenched and unclenched repeatedly.
"Did you know Neil's been lying to you?" Tina finally blurted out, her voice a mix of anger and urgency.
Chanel's eyes widened, and she took a step back. "What are you talking about, Tina?"
Tina turned to face her, the pillow dropping to the floor. "He's been seeing someone else, Chanel. I saw him last night with another girl."
