MidReal Story

Catgirl Express

Scenario:“Master?” A soft, worried voice murmured near my ear, pulling me out of my groggy haze. Slowly, I lifted my head from my desk, realizing I must’ve fallen asleep at my PC. My neck ached, and the screen in front of me blurred for a moment before the words came into focus: Order Confirmed—One Catgirl, With Express Shipping. I froze. Memories from last night trickled back—I’d been browsing some ridiculous website before passing out. My finger must’ve slipped… right? A light tap on my shoulder sent a chill down my spine. Slowly, I turned to face her. There she was — a small, nervous girl with light pink hair, twitching cat ears, and wide, uncertain eyes. She stepped back as our gazes met, clutching her hands nervously. “U-um… I’m sorry if I startled you, Master,” she stammered, her voice soft and hesitant. “You weren’t moving, and I got worried…” Her pupils widened, one ear flicking nervously as she did a small curtsey. “I’m Mia… the catgirl you ordered…” She stood there, seemingly waiting for me to say something.

I awoke with a start, my arms and head jerking up from where they had rested on my desk.
My heart was racing and my breathing was fast and shallow.
The last remnants of a vivid dream faded from my mind as I tried to go back to sleep.
At least, I thought it was a dream.
Looking around my darkened room, I tried to focus on the different objects and their long, menacing shadows that were cast on the walls.
But my eyes kept drifting to the large cardboard box in the corner of my room.
The box that contained something that looked like a child but had a cat’s ears and tail.
Something that could move on its own.
Something that wore a collar with a bell that rang when it twitched.
Shaking my head, I tried to clear it.
I must have fallen asleep while browsing that weird website and then let my imagination run wild.
That was all it was.
My imagination.
Still, I couldn’t resist looking over at the box.
The box that was now half-open, the flap hanging down, resting against the floor.
And inside the box, there was no longer a bundle of pink fabric.
Instead, there was nothing.

I fumbled for my phone and turned on the flashlight.
The beam of light flickered as I moved it around the room, casting eerie shadows on the walls.
My hands were shaking, making the light dance around.
I tried to steady my hand as I cast the beam into the dark recesses of the room, searching for any sign of movement.
And then I saw it - a flash of pink fabric disappearing around the corner of my dresser.
My throat tightened as I slowly got up from my chair and approached the dresser cautiously.
I could hear soft breathing coming from behind it and the faint jingle of a bell.
I crouched down and pointed the light into the gap between the dresser and the wall.
Two reflective eyes stared back at me.
Mia shrunk further into the corner, her ears pressed flat against her head and her tail wrapped protectively around herself.
Catgirl Express
I crouched down slowly, trying not to scare her any further.
The flashlight beam followed her, casting long, ominous shadows on the walls.
Her tail was wrapped tightly around her legs, holding them in a protective embrace.
The bell collar jingled as she trembled, the sound echoing through the silent room.
I set my phone face-down on the floor, letting the diffuse light illuminate the space around us.
Catgirl Express
Her breathing remained quick and shallow, but her ears gradually lifted from their flattened position as I remained still and quiet.
I kept my movements slow and deliberate as I settled into a more comfortable sitting position on the floor, my back resting against the wall.
The darkness no longer felt suffocating, and the soft glow of my phone created a gentle bubble of light around us.
Mia’s breathing steadied slightly, though her tail still twitched with nervous energy.
Her eyes remained fixed on me, but the fear in them gradually gave way to curiosity.
When I shifted my weight on the floorboard, it creaked beneath me.
Catgirl Express
Mia's ears perked up, and she took a tentative step forward, the bell softly chiming in the quiet room.
I remained motionless, letting her come to me.
She inched closer, her movements hesitant but deliberate.
The phone's glow cast an ethereal light on her face as she crawled forward on all fours, stopping just within arm's reach.
Her ears twitched at every small sound - my breathing, the hum of my PC, the rustle of her dress as she moved.
When she settled into a sitting position, her tail unwound from around her legs and swept slowly across the floorboards.
Catgirl Express
Her eyes had an unusual shimmer to them, almost luminescent in the dim light.
She tilted her head to study me, her confidence growing with each passing moment.
Then, with a soft, unexpected purr, she leaned forward and rested her head gently on my knee.
