Two years.
Tonight, Mia and I will have been together for two whole years.
I remember the day we met like it was yesterday.
She was new to our school, and I was immediately drawn to her.
Not only because of her long, blonde hair and bright green eyes, but because of her smile.
It lit up the room.
She was so happy, so carefree.
I knew right then that I wanted to be the one to make her happy like that.
To make her smile every day.
I’ve done a good job of it, too.
Most of the time, she does smile when we’re together.
Sometimes she even smiles just because I’m sitting next to her.
But lately…
Lately, I’ve been feeling suffocated.
Like there’s not enough air in the room for both of us.
It started a few months ago with little things.
We’d go to the movies, and instead of letting me pick, she’d choose some stupid rom-com.
