I was snooping.

I knew I shouldn't be, but I couldn't help myself.

I'd been asked to investigate a possible theft at a local business, and the owner had pointed out several suspects.

One of them was a man named Dean.

He lived in a house at the edge of River Heights, and I'd decided to snoop his place before talking to him.

I didn't expect to find anything, but I'd found plenty of evidence in my investigations by snooping in the past.

Sometimes it paid off, and sometimes it didn't, but I always enjoyed doing it.

As I made my way around the perimeter of Dean's house, I noticed something odd.

There were no windows on the back or sides; only on the front.

That was unusual for a house like this.

I wondered if it was some kind of hoax, but I couldn't think of a reason someone would build a house like that.
