Blue Cornflowers of the Forgotten Garden

Create my version of this story
I pushed my bicycle up the hill, my breath catching as I reached the top.
Below me lay the small village I called home, and ahead, just off the main road, a bouquet of deep blue cornflowers caught my attention.
I’d never seen them grow wild in our area before.
I wondered if someone had planted them there deliberately.
Who, and why, I had no idea.
But I had to have those flowers.
I’d never seen a colour quite like it and I couldn’t wait to press them between the pages of my notebook and take them back to my shop.
I had to know what they were and where they came from.
I let out a sigh and pushed my bike down the other side of the hill.
I was only halfway down when I realized I’d forgotten to tie up my basket of flowers.
