The Philippines.

A country I’d never heard of until I met a woman online.

Now, it was a place I was going to call home for the next two weeks.

My new wife’s home.

"Desmond!"

Cheery called from the front of the plane.

"We’re here!"

She waved me over with a huge smile on her face, and I could see the excitement in her eyes.

I stuffed my tablet away and made my way to the window.

As we taxied to the runway, Cheery pointed out the excitement of seeing Manila International Airport from the air.

I couldn’t see much, but I was happy to be here with her.

It had been a long twenty-six hours in the air, but now we were here and ready to begin our honeymoon.

Well, after we got through customs.

Cheery bounced up and down in her seat, waiting for us to deplane.

I chuckled at her enthusiasm, and she turned to me with a grin on her face.

"You’re going to love it here."

"I’m sure I will."
