Backyard Hearts
Scenario:2 kids fall in love in bakyard at middle school.
Create my version of this story
I was in love with Jake Thompson.
I knew it.
My mom kept telling me I was too young to know what love felt like.
That it was just a crush.
But I knew my heart, and I knew how I felt.
And I was in love with Jake.
I met Jake in the sixth grade.
He sat across from me in English class, and at first I didn't think much of him.
He had short black hair and blue eyes, and he was really quiet.
It wasn't until we were both picked to be on the same team for a class project that I really noticed him.
We spent two days working on our project together, and by the second day I knew I wanted to spend a lot more time with him.
We laughed so much together it was easy, and he was so smart.
When we presented our project to the class, he did all of the talking while I stood beside him like a mute.
After that, he came over to my table and started talking to me about what we'd done, and why he'd made certain choices.
