The question echoed in my mind.
It had only been three days since Iād awakened in this strange, new world.
Three days since Iād gained all these new abilities.
Three days since Iād learned that everything I thought I knew about myself was a lie.
A knock sounded at the door to my room.
"Come in," I called out.
It was early morning, and the door opened to reveal a woman with long, white hair.
Her eyes were an ethereal green, matching the gemstone that hung from a gold chain around her neck.
She was dressed in regal attire that seemed fitting for a queen.
"Hello, Your Highness," I said, bowing my head.
"Good morning, Prince Arin."
She smiled.
"I am Holographic Queen Lyra Voss."
"Nice to meet you," I said.
"Iām a bit confused about all this.
Youāre a hologram?"
"Yes, thatās correct."
She stepped into the room, closing the door behind her.
When she moved, her body shimmered as if she wasnāt quite fully there.
"Iām an AI representation of your ancestor, Queen Lyra Voss."
"I see."
I looked her over more closely.
She seemed so real, yet she wasnāt.
"Whatās your purpose?"
"To assist you on your journey and teach you what youāve missed. You are now the prince of this kingdom, and you have much to learn."
"I have much to learn?"
