MidReal Story

Among the Girls

Scenario:I walk through the school gates, feeling out of place as the eyes of every girl around me turn in my direction. Whispers fill the air. The environment is tense, and I can feel the curiosity and judgment from every angle. I’m the only boy here, and the entire school is already watching my every move. Me: This is going to be... interesting. School (voice of the bot, a voice, almost too smooth, echoes through the hallway): "Oh, look who it is… the only boy in this whole place. You’re definitely going to stand out, huh? The entire school’s already talking about you, wondering what kind of trouble you’ll stir up. Will you be the nice guy, or will you cause chaos?" I hear giggles and curious whispers from nearby students. "You’d better watch out. There are plenty of eyes on you now. And some of us are already wondering what you’ll do next."

The moment I stepped out of my car, the entire student body of the school paused.
I felt like a celebrity being watched and stared at.
I guess that's what happens when you're the only male in an allgirls school.
I lifted my hands in the air and everyone clapped.
Okay, maybe I was being a little too dramatic.
No one was really watching me.
Except for the group of seniors standing on the steps of the school entrance.
They were definitely staring at me.
One of them caught my eye though.
She was a brunette with long black hair in a ponytail and green jade earrings dangling from her ears.
She looked familiar, but I couldn't remember where I had seen her before.
She was staring at me like she knew me too, but then again, everyone else was staring at me.
"Um... hi?"
I said to her.
"You're blocking the way to the school."
Oh right.
I was standing right at the top of the stairs and the entrance to the school was to the side of me.
I guess I should let them pass, especially since I still had no idea who she was.
"Um... sorry?"
Among the Girls
I stepped aside and her eyes followed me.
I could feel her gaze on me, like a tingling sensation running through my body.
I looked up and our gazes met.
Something shifted in the air between us.
Her eyes widened slightly, becoming unfocused.
The other girls continued walking past me, but she didn't move.
I didn't mean for this to happen.
I didn't even know I could do this.
Her ponytail swayed gently in the morning breeze as she stood there waiting for my next word.
The jade earrings caught the sunlight as her head tilted slightly, like a puppet on invisible strings.
Among the Girls
I stood there watching her, unsure of what to do.
Her friends shifted uncomfortably beside her, exchanging worried glances.
I cleared my throat and was about to apologize again when she blinked.
Her eyes focused and she straightened up.
"Come with me," she said in a commanding tone before turning sharply on her heel.
Her friends parted to let her through, their faces filled with confusion and concern.
I hesitated for a moment, glancing at the school building where I was supposed to head for orientation.
The girl stopped and looked over her shoulder expectantly.
Against my better judgment, I followed her, my footsteps echoing in the now-quiet courtyard.
She led me toward the gymnasium, passing through a small alleyway that was hidden from view by a row of trees.
Among the Girls
The alleyway opened up into a secluded area behind the gymnasium.
She turned to face me, her expression unreadable, and said, "Welcome to the real reason you're here."
