MidReal Story

Among the Girls

Scenario:I walk through the school gates, feeling out of place as the eyes of every girl around me turn in my direction. Whispers fill the air. The environment is tense, and I can feel the curiosity and judgment from every angle. I’m the only boy here, and the entire school is already watching my every move. Me: This is going to be... interesting. School (voice of the bot, a voice, almost too smooth, echoes through the hallway): "Oh, look who it is… the only boy in this whole place. You’re definitely going to stand out, huh? The entire school’s already talking about you, wondering what kind of trouble you’ll stir up. Will you be the nice guy, or will you cause chaos?" I hear giggles and curious whispers from nearby students. "You’d better watch out. There are plenty of eyes on you now. And some of us are already wondering what you’ll do next."

I was walking down the corridor when I felt everyone's eyes on me.
It was my first day in this school and I knew why they were staring at me.
I'm a boy and this school, as the name suggested, was an allgirls school.
My name is Ethan Logan and I had to transfer here due to family reasons.
I was curious about this school and I had to adapt to it quickly for my own good.
"Hey are you the new student?"
I heard someone say from behind me.
"Yeah, I am. And you are?"
I turned around to face the girl who had spoken.
She was a senior by the looks of her badge and she had her long black hair tied up in a ponytail.
She was beautiful and I could see why the boys waited outside the school just to catch a glimpse of her.
"My name is Lily Chen. I am the leader of a popular clique in this school and you?"
She said with a smile on her face.
"Ethan Logan."
I replied.
"It's nice to meet you, Ethan."
She said and then continued to walk with me.
We were approaching my class and I could see my classmates staring at us.
Among the Girls
I slowed my pace and Lily did the same.
We were near the entrance of the classroom and there were five girls standing there, all dressed in their uniforms and looking like they just stepped out of a fashion magazine.
"Girls, this is Ethan. He's a new student in our school."
Lily said to them.
She then gestured to each of them and said their names, but I couldn't remember any of them.
They all looked at me with different reactions.
Some were giggling behind their hands while others were giving me a cold stare.
One of the girls stepped forward and I could see that she was the most beautiful among them.
She had her blonde hair curled up perfectly and she was wearing makeup that accentuated her features even more.
She extended her hand towards me and I reached out to shake it.
Among the Girls
"I'm Madison."
She said in a sweet voice.
I could feel Lily's eyes on me as I shook Madison's hand.
Her grip was too tight and I felt like she was trying to say something with it.
"Nice to meet you, Madison."
Among the Girls
I said back.
"Nice to meet you." "And you, Ethan." "You look incredibly sexy."
She said, still holding my hand.
I could see Lily's smile tighten at the edges.
I tried to pull my hand back but she was holding it too tightly.
Suddenly, a harsh buzzing sound filled the hallway and the fire alarm's strobe lights flashed through the corridor.
The girls around us froze for a split second before they started moving.
Among the Girls
Girls! Calm down, don’t plan.
Madison finally released my hand and I felt people pushing between us as we tried to get out.
I saw Lily's calculating gaze before she grabbed my arm and pulled me towards a side exit.
We were in a deserted courtyard enclosed by tall brick walls and covered with fallen leaves.
The fire alarm was still blaring, but it sounded muffled from inside the school.
Lily let go of my arm but positioned herself between me and the door.
Her ponytail swung as she turned to face me.
"Madison can be… intense."
Among the Girls
She said, keeping her eyes locked on mine as she smoothed her uniform skirt.
"You should be careful around her."
I leaned against the wall, trying to look casual even though I felt like I was being cornered.
Lily stood with her shoulders tense, her eyes darting between me and the door.
The fire alarm continued to echo distantly.
I stepped forward, and she took a half-step back, her ponytail swinging.
Her usual confident expression faltered for a second as she glanced at the ground.
She adjusted her skirt again, a nervous habit I'd noticed.
Among the Girls
I looked out of the courtyard window and saw Madison and her friends searching the hallways, their faces pressed against the glass.
"Lily, why are you really helping me?" I asked, my voice barely audible over the alarm.
She hesitated, biting her lip before answering, "Because Madison's not just intense—she's dangerous, and you're not the first new student she's targeted."
I frowned, trying to process her words. "What do you mean by 'targeted'?"
Lily's eyes flickered between me and the window where Madison's group was searching.
Her fingers trembled slightly as she reached for my wrist.
"There's somewhere safer we can go," she whispered, glancing at the ivy-covered wall behind us.
I followed her gaze and noticed a slight gap in the brick pattern, partially hidden by the thick vines.
The fire alarm continued its distant wail as Lily tugged me toward the wall.
Among the Girls
She pushed aside the curtain of ivy, revealing weathered stone steps descending into shadow.
"There's a whole network of tunnels under the school," Lily explained, her voice urgent.
I hesitated, glancing back at the courtyard door.
"Trust me," she insisted, her grip on my wrist tightening, "it's the only way to stay out of Madison's reach."
I nodded, and together we followed the stone steps into the dimly lit tunnel.
The fire alarm grew fainter, muffled by the thick walls and earth above.
Our footsteps echoed off the damp stone, casting flickering shadows on the ground.
The air was musty and stale, heavy with the scent of damp earth and decay.
We continued downward, descending deeper into the heart of the school's hidden underbelly.
Finally, we reached a wider chamber, illuminated by filtered light from above.
Lily stopped, her breathing quick and shallow.
She released her grip on my wrist but didn't step away.
I looked up at her, noticing how the weak light caught in her dark eyes.
She turned to face me, her gaze locking with mine.
Among the Girls
The tension between us was palpable as she stepped closer.
For a moment, we stood there, frozen in a silent standoff.
