Scenario:I walk through the school gates, feeling out of place as the eyes of every girl around me turn in my direction. Whispers fill the air. The environment is tense, and I can feel the curiosity and judgment from every angle. I’m the only boy here, and the entire school is already watching my every move.
Me: This is going to be... interesting.
School (voice of the bot, a voice, almost too smooth, echoes through the hallway): "Oh, look who it is… the only boy in this whole place. You’re definitely going to stand out, huh? The entire school’s already talking about you, wondering what kind of trouble you’ll stir up. Will you be the nice guy, or will you cause chaos?"
I hear giggles and curious whispers from nearby students.
"You’d better watch out. There are plenty of eyes on you now. And some of us are already wondering what you’ll do next."

I was in the middle of a hallway when everyone suddenly stopped talking and turned to look at me.
It was weird.
Like something out of a sci-fi movie.
As if I was a time traveler who had just jumped into the past and all the people around me had frozen.
I looked around, trying to find the source of their attention.
Was there something on my shoulder?
A spider? Some unknown smudge of dirt?
Had I accidentally put on two different socks?
And then I saw her.
The girl with the long black hair in a ponytail, wearing a plaid green skirt—the school’s uniform—and a crisp white blouse.
She looked like a porcelain doll.
Her skin was almost too pale, her cheeks flushed with a hint of pink.
She approached me, and the crowd parted to make way for her.
They continued to stare, but it was no longer about me.
It was about the girl walking toward me, as if I was merely the planet that she orbited around.
"Hi," she said, her lips curving into a smile.
"Welcome to our school. I’m Lily Chen."
I took her hand automatically, because it was what you did when you greeted someone, but then froze when I realized what I had done.
Because everyone else seemed to have frozen with me.
Lily didn’t seem to mind.
I dropped her hand quickly, feeling the weight of dozens of eyes on me.
The hallway was silent except for the sound of a clock ticking somewhere far away.
"I’m Ethan," I said, stumbling over my own words.
"Sorry. I shouldn’t have done that. I mean, I’ve never been to an all-girls school before, and I didn’t mean to…"
Lily’s smile didn’t fade, but her eyes narrowed slightly as she studied me.
Behind her, the girls in their matching skirts and blouses whispered and pointed at me.
They looked like they had all just stepped out of a fashion catalog.
One of them pulled out her phone, and I heard the camera click.
Lily turned sharply toward the sound.
"No photos," she said, her voice soft but commanding.
The girl with the phone lowered it immediately, but I could tell the damage was already done.
I leaned against the wall, pretending not to notice the girl slipping away through the crowd.
My watch vibrated softly against my wrist.
It was a gift from my father, and it had more technology built into it than most people realized.
Lily continued talking about school rules and the importance of following them, but I wasn’t really listening.
I angled my watch face toward my mouth, using the motion of adjusting my sleeve to cover what I was doing.
The fluorescent lights overhead reflected off the watch’s surface as I whispered the command.
A soft blue light pulsed once, confirming the connection to the satellite network.
"Activate protocol: vanish."
