MidReal Story

Among the Girls

Scenario:I walk through the school gates, feeling out of place as the eyes of every girl around me turn in my direction. Whispers fill the air. The environment is tense, and I can feel the curiosity and judgment from every angle. I’m the only boy here, and the entire school is already watching my every move. Me: This is going to be... interesting. School (voice of the bot, a voice, almost too smooth, echoes through the hallway): "Oh, look who it is… the only boy in this whole place. You’re definitely going to stand out, huh? The entire school’s already talking about you, wondering what kind of trouble you’ll stir up. Will you be the nice guy, or will you cause chaos?" I hear giggles and curious whispers from nearby students. "You’d better watch out. There are plenty of eyes on you now. And some of us are already wondering what you’ll do next."

I stood in the middle of the classroom, all eyes trained on me.
The entire student body seemed to be staring at me, and I felt like a zoo animal.
The teacher had just finished announcing my name and informing the class that I would be joining them starting today.
I clung to my transfer packet for dear life and tried to smile politely, though I couldn’t stop wondering if this was some kind of prank.
I had never seen an allgirls school before, and I couldn’t help but feel like I had dropped onto a different planet.
The teacher seemed to take the same thought as her cue to continue talking.
Among the Girls
"Welcome, Ethan," she said, her voice smooth and polished.
"We’re glad to have you here. You’ll be taking the empty desk in the middle of the room."
I scanned the classroom for an empty desk and found it right in the middle of the room.
The packet in my hands was growing damp from my sweaty palms, and I tried to wipe them discreetly on my pants as I walked down the aisle.
The girls around me shifted in their seats, their eyes following me as I moved.
Most of them quickly averted their gaze when I looked their way, but two held my stare.
One had a sleek black ponytail and sat in the front row, giving me an appraising look that made me feel like a piece of meat at a butcher’s shop.
The other had spiky red hair and sat in the back corner, her eyes fixed on me with open curiosity. As I reached the desk, I noticed that it was surrounded by students who were all shifting slightly in their seats.
My shoes squeaked against the floor as I walked down the aisle, drawing even more attention to myself.
I took a deep breath and sat down, feeling the weight of their expectations settle around me like a heavy fog.

The teacher began to lecture about chemistry, and I tried to focus on taking notes.
But it was hard to concentrate when the girl with the black ponytail kept glancing back at me, whispering to her friends and pointing subtle gestures in my direction.
I felt like a specimen under a microscope, and I couldn’t help but wonder what they were saying about me.
I tried to ignore them, but it was hard when I could feel their eyes on me like a physical touch.
Just as I was starting to relax, a folded piece of paper landed on my desk.
I opened it up and saw a crude drawing of myself with hearts around it.
I crumpled the paper up and shoved it into my backpack, trying not to let it get to me.
But the giggles from the girls around me made it hard to ignore.
The bell rang, signaling the end of class, and I quickly packed up my things.
But before I could leave, three girls surrounded my desk, blocking my way out.

The girl with the black ponytail leaned in, her eyes sharp and assessing.
"So, Ethan, what brings you to our little corner of the world?" she asked, a hint of challenge in her voice.
Before I could answer, the red-haired girl chimed in with a smirk, "Yeah, are you here to spy on us or something?"
I stammered out a quick explanation about my family moving to the area and this being the only school with openings.
The girl with the black ponytail nodded, her eyes still fixed on me.
She introduced herself as Lily and asked if I wanted to grab lunch together.
I hesitated for a second before agreeing, feeling a little overwhelmed but also intrigued by the sudden attention.
As we walked down the hallway, I couldn’t help but notice how many eyes were on us.
The other girls in the school seemed to be staring at me even more than before, and I couldn’t help but wonder if they were all talking about me.
Lily noticed my discomfort and leaned in close, her voice taking on a conspiratorial tone.
"Don’t worry," she said with a smirk.
"They’re just jealous. You’re the first boy to ever set foot in this place."
I smiled back at her, feeling a little more at ease.

But as we continued walking, I started to notice that Lily wasn’t the only one staring at me.
The red-haired girl from earlier was watching us from across the hallway, her eyes flicking between Lily and me with a mixture of amusement and curiosity. As we reached the cafeteria, I realized that I had never been so aware of how much attention I could attract.
It was both exhilarating and overwhelming, like being thrust into the center of a spotlight without any warning.
I tried to focus on getting to know Lily better, asking her questions about her interests and hobbies.
But every time I looked up from our conversation, I saw another set of eyes watching us, their faces filled with wonder and curiosity.
It was like I had become a magnet for attention, drawing in everyone around me.
And while it was nice to feel seen and heard, it was also exhausting.
I couldn’t wait for lunch to be over so I could retreat back into my shell and gather myself again.
But as soon as we finished eating, Lily leaned in close once more, her smile mischievous and sly.
"We’re not done getting to know you yet," she said, her voice low and flirtatious. And before I could respond, she took my hand in hers, leading me out of the cafeteria and back into the hallway.
The bell rang loudly behind us, echoing off the walls as we walked away from the curious stares of our classmates.
I tried to step sideways to get away from the wall, but Lily grabbed my arm and pulled me back against it.
"Relax, Ethan," she whispered, her eyes glinting with a secret.
"I just want to show you something special, something only a few get to see."
The red-haired girl appeared beside us, grinning widely. "Yeah, consider it your official initiation into our world."
