MidReal Story

Among the Girls

Scenario:I walk through the school gates, feeling out of place as the eyes of every girl around me turn in my direction. Whispers fill the air. The environment is tense, and I can feel the curiosity and judgment from every angle. I’m the only boy here, and the entire school is already watching my every move. Me: This is going to be... interesting. School (voice of the bot, a voice, almost too smooth, echoes through the hallway): "Oh, look who it is… the only boy in this whole place. You’re definitely going to stand out, huh? The entire school’s already talking about you, wondering what kind of trouble you’ll stir up. Will you be the nice guy, or will you cause chaos?" I hear giggles and curious whispers from nearby students. "You’d better watch out. There are plenty of eyes on you now. And some of us are already wondering what you’ll do next."

I was walking down the hallway to my locker when I felt all eyes on me.
I mean, I suddenly felt like every single person in the room was staring at me.
At first, I didn’t get it.
I was new, so maybe they were just surprised to see a new face?
But then I realized what it really was – the entire school was comprised of girls.
I was the first and only boy to attend the school, so no wonder everyone was staring at me.
I kind of adapted to the attention and even began to enjoy it.
I mean, who wouldn’t?
It was cool being the center of attention.
I noticed a group of girls watching me the most, and they were probably seniors.
One of them stood out – she had long black hair in a ponytail and was staring at me with a piercing gaze.
She looked smart and ambitious, and I could tell that she was a leader of some kind.
Another girl was sitting next to her – she had short red hair in a pixie cut, and she looked at me with an intense gaze as well.

I raised my hand in a casual wave, making direct eye contact with the black-haired girl.
Her eyebrows lifted slightly, and a small smirk formed on her face.
The redhead rolled her eyes and turned away, but I could tell she was still glancing at me out of the corner of her eye.
The other girls in the hallway stopped talking and watched as the black-haired girl stood up from her seat, smoothed out her uniform skirt, and started walking towards me.
My heart rate picked up as she approached, her ponytail swaying with each confident step.
She stopped in front of me, looked me up and down, and said, "Welcome to the jungle."
Among the Girls
I leaned against my locker, trying to look casual as she stood uncomfortably close to me.
She smelled like a mix of flowers and vanilla, and I could tell that she was wearing expensive perfume.
The redhead watched us from afar, her arms crossed over her chest.
The other girls in the hallway pretended not to watch, but I could tell that they were all glancing at us out of the corner of their eyes.
The black-haired girl said, "My name is Lily Chen. And you are?"
I replied, "Ethan Logan."
She smiled and said, "Nice to meet you, Ethan. I can tell that you’re going to be popular here."
I shrugged and said, "I don’t know about that."
Lily laughed and said, "Trust me, you will be. You’re the only boy in this school, so everyone’s going to want a piece of you."
I looked around the hallway and saw that all the girls were staring at us.
I felt a little uncomfortable under their gaze, but Lily seemed to enjoy it.
She leaned in closer to me and whispered, "You should know that there are different cliques in this school. There are the popular girls who are pretty and outgoing. Then there are the smart girls who are bookworms. And then there’s the mean girls who are just plain mean."
Among the Girls
I looked at her curiously and asked, "And which one are you?" She smiled mischievously and said, "Oh, I’m a little bit of everything. But don’t worry about me. I’m not going to hurt you."
I chuckled and said, "Good to know."
Lily looked around the hallway again and said, "So what do you think of our school so far?"
I shrugged and said, "It’s nice. The teachers seem really supportive."
She nodded and said, "Yeah, they’re great. They really care about us students."
Then she leaned in closer again and whispered, "But don’t get too comfortable. This school can be pretty cutthroat."
I raised my eyebrows and asked, "Really? Why?"
Lily smiled again and said, "Well, there’s a lot of competition here. Everyone wants to be the best student in their class. And some people will do whatever it takes to get ahead."
I frowned and said, "That doesn’t sound very nice."
