"Sebastian, this is Rachel, your new secretary. She’ll be taking over from Emily."
I nodded at the petite blonde standing beside Emily Carter, one of my senior executives.
A determined glint shone in her striking blue eyes.
She was aiming high.
Most women I met wanted to be with me.
Some for my money, some for my power, some because they were simply attracted to me.
This one seemed no different.
"Welcome to the Winston Group, Rachel," I said.
"Emily will show you everything you need to know. Good luck."
I headed toward my office.
"Sebastian?"
I turned back around.
"Yes?""Thank you."
Her smile was dazzling, innocent and alluring at the same time.
My gut told me she wasn’t as innocent as she looked.
Not many people could handle being secretary to the CEO of the Winston Group.
It was a tough job, but I paid accordingly.
If she could handle it, then great.
If not…then not.
I had no time for coddling.
"Goodbye, Mr. Winston."
"Goodbye."
I shut the door behind me and headed to my desk.
It was going to be a long day.
The Winston Group was partnering with Sony Wonder on a new children’s entertainment project, and today was the big kickoff meeting.
I had high hopes for this project.
It had all the makings of a big success: cartoons, video games, merchandise, theme park rides.
