I am Mohamed Abdi, I am 15 years old.
I live in Copenhagen, Denmark.
I have dark skin and abs, which I got from working out every day for a year.
My parents are 38 and 39 years old.
Their names are Abdinur and Layla Abdi.
They also have dark skin.
I have a sister named Munira who is 17 years old.
She also has dark skin.
My parents and sister support me in everything I do, which I am very thankful for.
I want to be a famous singer and musician when I grow up.
So I signed up for this year’s X Factor audition.
The X Factor is a singing competition where people from 15 years old and up can audition to win a record deal.
The judges can either let you go solo, or pair you with one or more people to form a group or band.
I was paired with three other people to form a group, which I was very happy about.
Alien Beat Club
We are now at the X Factor studio, and we are all wearing black.
The stylist of the show chose our outfits.
We are all wearing black pants, but I am wearing a black t-shirt, while the girls are wearing tank tops.
Kasper is wearing a long-sleeved shirt.
We are all wearing black boots, and we all have black belts around our waists.
Stephania is helping me put my earpiece in my ear.
Kasper is playing the guitar riff one last time to make sure he knows it by heart.
Patricia is leading us through some vocal warm-ups.
She has a very strong and confident voice, which calms my nerves a little bit.
The stage manager comes over to us and tells us that there are five minutes left before we go on stage.

We all huddle together with our arms linked together as the previous contestant walks off the stage.
The lights dim, and I can hear my heart pounding in my ears.
The curtain rises, and we step into the spotlight, ready to make our mark.
Under the bright stage lights, I grip the microphone tightly as our band takes position.
Stephania stands to my left, Patricia to my right, and Kasper settles behind with his guitar.
The opening chords of "Love Yourself" fill the arena, and I take a deep breath to steady my nerves.
My voice rings out clear as I start the first verse, my pulse racing but my tone steady.
Stephania joins in for harmony, her voice blending with mine in perfect unison.
Then Patricia takes over for the bridge, her powerful vocals soaring above the music as Kasper strums along and adds his own backing vocals.
We move through our carefully choreographed steps - turning, stepping, gesturing in sync.
The audience sways along with us, phones raised high to capture every moment.
And when we hit the final note, holding it together in perfect harmony, the crowd erupts into cheers and applause.
"Did you see their faces?" Stephania whispers excitedly as we step off the stage, her eyes wide with disbelief.
Alien Beat Club
"I know, right?" Kasper grins, adjusting his guitar strap. "I think we might actually have a shot at this."
Patricia nods, her voice steady but her eyes gleaming. "But did you hear what the judges said about our harmony? They called it 'flawless'."
I stand frozen, my heart pounding as the judges begin their deliberation.
Ramee leans forward, his eyes bright with excitement.
"The way your voices blend together is pure magic," he says, his voice filled with conviction.
"Putting you all together was the best decision I've made yet."
Thomas nods in agreement, his expression thoughtful.
"And that guitar riff was on point," he adds, glancing at Kasper.
Lina scribbles some notes on her pad, her brow furrowed in concentration.
"I agree," she says finally, looking up at us.
"You all have something special. But can you keep it up?"
The audience holds its collective breath as the judges deliberate.

And then suddenly, Ramee reaches under the desk and pulls out a golden envelope.
The crowd erupts into cheers as he rips it open and pulls out a card.
"And the winner of tonight's competition is..." he pauses for dramatic effect, "going straight to finals!"
Patricia screams in excitement, Stephania jumps up and down, and Kasper pulls us all into a group hug.
I look out into the audience, searching for my family's faces.
Alien Beat Club
There they are, beaming with pride, and I realize this is just the beginning.
After our golden ticket celebration, we all gather in the green room to decompress.
Patricia collapses onto the leather couch, while Kasper sets his guitar in the corner.
Stephania pulls out her phone and starts scrolling through social media.
"Guys, look at this," she says, holding up her phone for us to see.
There are already clips of our performance trending on Twitter and Instagram.
I take her phone and start scrolling through the comments.
Most of them are supportive and congratulatory, but there are a few negative ones too.
I try not to let them get to me, but it's hard not to take it personally when someone says something hurtful about your music.
Kasper comes over and puts his hand on my shoulder.
"Don't let it get to you," he says softly.
Alien Beat Club
"We're in this together."
I nod, taking a deep breath.
He's right - we're a team, and we have each other's backs.
The production assistant comes into the room with a tray of water bottles and hands them out to us.
"Great job tonight, guys," he says with a smile.
"You've got tomorrow off, but be back here by 10 am on Monday for rehearsal."
We all nod and thank him as he leaves the room. I pull out my phone and see that I have a few missed calls from my family.
I call them back and they answer on the first ring.
"We're so proud of you!" my mom exclaims excitedly.
"We can't wait to see you!"
"I'm coming now," I say, smiling.
"See you soon."
I hang up the phone and turn to the others.
"My family is here," I say excitedly.
"Do you guys want to come meet them?"
Stephania nods enthusiastically, while Patricia smiles politely.
Kasper shrugs nonchalantly, but I can tell he's curious too.
We all make our way out of the green room and into the hallway where my family is waiting for us.
My dad has his phone out and is filming everything as we approach them.
My mom runs up to me and gives me a big hug. "We're so proud of you!" she exclaims again, tears in her eyes.
My little sister Munira rolls her eyes good-naturedly, but I can tell she's happy for me too. "Hi everyone," I say, gesturing to my bandmates behind me.
"This is Stephania, Patricia, and Kasper."
"They're the ones who make it all happen," I say, gesturing to my bandmates with pride.
My mom beams at them, her eyes shining. "We've heard so much about you three. Thank you for taking care of our star."
Stephania laughs, nudging me playfully. "Honestly, it's more like they take care of us."
Alien Beat Club
After introducing them to my family, we all head back to the studio's break room.
I pull out my math textbook from my backpack and sit down at the table.
Stephania sits next to me with her own homework, groaning about a chemistry assignment that's due tomorrow.
Patricia sprawls on the couch, scrolling through her phone.
Kasper picks up his guitar and starts strumming softly.
"Don't miss these days," Patricia says, showing us her old high school photos on her phone.
"Before you know it, you'll be grown up and wishing you were young again."
Kasper nods in agreement.
"Enjoy being young while you can. It goes by fast."
I go back to my algebra problems, determined to get them done before our next rehearsal.
Alien Beat Club
Stephania looks over at me, her eyes serious. "Hey, have you thought about what happens after the finals?"
I pause, pencil hovering above the paper. "Not really," I admit. "I guess I just assumed we'd figure it out as we go."
Kasper stops strumming and leans forward. "Well, we might have an offer," he says quietly, glancing at Patricia.
She nods, setting her phone down.
"We've been talking," she says softly. "And we think it's time we start thinking about the future of the band."
Kasper sets his guitar down and clears his throat.
"I think we need to discuss this further," he says, his voice filled with determination.
Patricia nods in agreement.
"I've seen other bands fall apart because of dating drama. We can't let that happen to us."
Stephania pulls out her notebook and flips to a new page.
"Then let's make it official," she says, looking up at us.
"No dating between band members."
I watch as she writes "Band Rules" at the top of the page in bold letters.
Alien Beat Club
And then, one by one, we each sign our name below the no-dating agreement.
When it's my turn, I sign my name with conviction.
I sit in our dressing room with the rest of the band, getting ready for the finale.
The makeup artist is applying foundation to my face while Stephania practices her vocal runs in the corner.
Patricia paces back and forth, checking her phone for good luck texts from her mom.
Kasper is tuning his guitar, occasionally glancing at the door where his girlfriend left him a bouquet of good luck flowers.
Our families are waiting in the audience, and we're all changing into our matching silver outfits for the final performance.
Alien Beat Club
The stage manager comes in with our microphones and earpieces, and we each take one.
My hands are shaking slightly as I adjust my collar.
We stand in a line on the stage, our silver outfits shimmering under the spotlights.
The backing track for "Just The Way You Are" starts, and Kasper strums the opening chords on his guitar.
Patricia takes the first verse, her voice strong and clear.
When it's time for the chorus, Stephania and I join in, our harmonies blending perfectly.
We execute our choreography flawlessly, moving in sync as we sing about embracing each other's imperfections.
The audience is waving their phone lights in the air, creating a sea of twinkling stars that matches the glitter on our outfits.
When we hit the final note, the crowd erupts in thunderous applause.
As we catch our breath, Stephania turns to us, her eyes wide with excitement. "Did you see the producer in the front row?"
Patricia nods, her voice barely a whisper. "I think he was recording us."
Kasper grins, his eyes sparkling. "This could be our big break."
Alien Beat Club
I stand frozen as the host announces our band as the winners of X Factor.
The roar of the crowd feels distant, like I'm underwater and they're cheering from the surface.
Patricia grabs my shoulders, her eyes streaming with tears.
Stephania lets out a scream that pierces through the noise, and Kasper pulls us all into a tight hug.
My legs shake beneath me as confetti rains down on us, coating our silver outfits in sparkles.
The other contestants rush onto the stage to congratulate us, but we stay locked together, swaying and crying.
Through my tears, I see our families jumping up and down in the audience, their faces filled with pride.
Patricia pulls back slightly, her voice trembling with emotion.
"Do you think this means we'll finally get to record our own album?"
Stephania nods eagerly, wiping her eyes. "And maybe even go on tour!"
Alien Beat Club
Kasper looks at us, his expression serious but hopeful. "This is just the beginning, guys."
I sit with my bandmates in our private dressing room, still wearing our silver outfits dusted with confetti.
Kasper scrolls through his phone, showing us clips of our performance that are already going viral.
Patricia wipes away happy tears as she texts her mom to share the news.
Stephania pulls out her notebook and starts jotting down song ideas for our album.
A production assistant comes in with a stack of papers and hands them to us.
"These are contracts from three major record labels," he explains, his voice filled with excitement.
"They're all interested in signing you."
My hands shake slightly as I take the papers, feeling the weight of reality settle in.
Just weeks ago, I was a regular kid doing homework and daydreaming about music stardom.
Now, I'm sitting here with a record deal in my hands.
Alien Beat Club
It's surreal.
Our manager bursts into the room, carrying a bottle of champagne and some sodas.
"We did it!" he exclaims, popping open the bottle and pouring us each a glass.
We toast to our future success, clinking our glasses together. As we celebrate, I notice Patricia glancing nervously at the thick contracts on the table.
"What's wrong, Patricia?" I ask, noticing her hesitation.
Alien Beat Club
She bites her lip, looking between us. "What if we're not ready for this kind of commitment?"
Kasper leans forward, his voice steady. "We've worked too hard to let fear hold us back now."
I lean back in my chair, still wearing our silver stage outfit covered in confetti.
My bandmates are huddled around the table, pouring over the contracts from the record labels.
The tension in the room is palpable.
Patricia's concerns have put a damper on our celebratory mood.
To lighten the atmosphere, I clear my throat and suggest, "Why don't we take a break and explore Copenhagen tonight?"
Stephania's head snaps up, her green eyes sparkling with excitement.
"That sounds amazing!"
Kasper sets down his guitar and nods enthusiastically.
Patricia hesitates for a moment before agreeing that we need a break from decision-making.
I grab my phone to text my parents about staying out late.
