I was dancing in the club, having a great time, slightly drunk.
I didn’t even mind that I had to pee terribly.
I just wanted to have fun, dance, and maybe get laid.
The night was young and so were we.
Suddenly, I felt a hand on my shoulder and froze immediately.
I didn’t want this kind of attention, especially not from a stranger.
I wasn’t even able to turn around because I was too shocked and didn’t know what to do.
I wasn’t exactly confrontational or assertive with my body or words.
Before I could even think of anything, I felt a slender hand slink over my waist from the side and a familiar presence appeared in front of me.
She stared at the person behind me for a few seconds before looking at me.
Then she placed her hands on my shoulders and pulled me into her embrace.
Instinctively, I fell into her arms and wrapped my own around her waist.
I knew this person and trusted her completely.
It was Abbe, a blonde third-year student majoring in drama at our performing arts college.
A Love So True
I watched her face harden as she shifted her attention over my shoulder.
Her arms stayed wrapped around me, but her body tensed.
The stranger's presence loomed behind me, his hand still hovering near where it touched my shoulder.
The club's music pounded in my ears, a cacophony of bass and laughter that drowned out everything else.
I pressed closer to Abbe, seeking the safety of her familiar warmth.
A Love So True
She adjusted her stance, angling her body to partially shield me from him.
My heart raced, and I could feel her take a slow, deliberate breath.
The bass dropped in the background as Abbe's lips parted, ready to speak.
I felt her chest rise against my back as she spoke, her words vibrating through me.
The stranger's shadow still lingered behind us, his presence heavy in the flashing lights.
My bladder ached, but I couldn't move.
I was trapped between fear and Abbe's protective hold.
The music seemed to fade into the background as I focused on the steady rhythm of Abbe's breathing and the firm pressure of her hands on my waist.
Her fingers pressed harder into my side, and I could sense her shifting her weight subtly, ready to move if needed.
The stranger's feet shuffled behind us, and I squeezed my eyes shut, waiting for his response.
"Hey, back off," Abbe's voice cut through the noise, firm and unwavering.
"She's with me, and she doesn't want any trouble."
The stranger hesitated, then muttered, "Sorry, I didn't mean to intrude," before retreating into the crowd.
