The first time I saw Mark Jensen, he was standing in the middle of a rainstorm.
I was on my way to the lab when I saw him, and I stopped in my tracks.
He was tall, with glasses that made his eyes look huge, and he had a mop of brown hair that was plastered to his head by the rain.
He was staring up at the sky with an expression of pure wonder on his face.
I don’t know what it was about him that made me stop and watch him for a moment.
Maybe it was the fact that he looked so out of place in the middle of a downpour, or maybe it was just the way he stood there, completely still, as if he were waiting for something amazing to happen.
Whatever it was, I couldn’t take my eyes off him.
