Experiment 1.0 is ready to launch.
The team will activate the project in T minus 5 minutes.
A loud and clear female voice boomed over the speakers, bouncing off the white walls of the underground lab.
It echoed through the empty room and caused Olivia to pause her work and stare at her new creation.
She had spent five years working on the project and two years preparing for this day.
It was finally here, it was finally time.
You can do this, Olivia, she muttered to herself.
She made a few final adjustments to the computer program running her experiment, then stood and stretched her tired muscles.
She had been awake for twenty hours now and she was starting to feel the effects of it.
Her back was sore from hunching over the computer for so long, and her eyes were starting to blur together from staring at the screen.
But now that the moment was finally here, she couldn’t bring herself to look away.
This was it.
This was everything.
She heard the sound of footsteps behind her and turned to see Marcus entering the lab.
Are we ready?Olivia knew that Marcus had been working on this project with her since the beginning, but she could tell he was just as nervous as she was.
Yes, I think so.
It’s time to make sure all safety protocols are in place for our field test, Olivia said as she started typing on her computer again.
We want to make sure that nothing can go wrong with this experiment now that it’s reached this stage.
Marcus nodded as he started typing on his own computer in front of him.
We can’t afford to have anything go wrong now, he said as he typed.
This is an experiment that could change the course of humanity forever if successful.
If we can prove that our theory works, then we can save countless lives in the future.
Olivia nodded as she turned to look at the machine in front of her one last time.
She could feel her heart pounding with anticipation in her chest as the experiment started to boot up.
This was it.
They were going to change everything today.
We are go for launch, Olivia said into her headset as she grabbed a clipboard from the desk next to her.
Her team was already waiting outside in hazmat suits to start up their experiment in the field and she didn’t want to keep them waiting much longer.
