I've always loved video games, but when I first saw Tezcatlipoca on Fate Grand Order, it was like…love at first sight.
He's a god of war and his design is EPIC.
He's got long hair and a skirt made out of feathers, and his body is so ripped I could just stare at it for hours.
I've seen all his illustrations, and I don't know how many times I've listened to his voice lines.
I dream about him all the time.
And when I wake up, I can't wait to go back to sleep and see him again.
But whenever I talk about him to my friends or family, they tell me I'm being stupid.
My dad says he's just a character in a video game, and my stepmother says I should focus on real people and things.
But Dad has been playing video games ever since I can remember, so I know he gets it.
And my crush on Tezcatlipoca is super important to me, so why won't they take it seriously?
I thought Alex would get it, since he's been my best friend forever.
But when I told him about Tezcatlipoca, he just laughed at me.
He said it was cool that I had a crush on a character from a video game, and that he wanted me to be happy.
But then he told everyone in our class, and they started making fun of me too.
One day, they even printed out pictures of Tezcatlipoca with a speech bubble saying he loved being mean to “stupid little girls,” and they stuck it on the door of my locker so everyone could see it.
I was really upset, but Alex said he knew how to cheer me up.
He told me there was a contest coming up for Fate Grand Order fans, and that the winner would get to meet Tezcatlipoca's voice actor!
I couldn't believe it…meeting the person who brought my favorite character to life would be like meeting Tezcatlipoca himself!
But Alex said I'd have to work really hard if I wanted to win the contest, and that meant playing Fate Grand Order as much as possible.
I was really excited, and for the next few days, I played on my dad's computer for as long as he'd let me.
But then, one day, Dad told me he and my stepmother wanted to have a talk with me.
They said it was unhealthy for me to spend so much time thinking about a video game character, and that they didn't want me to enter the contest or go to the event if I won.
I was so mad at them for not understanding that it wasn't just a game or a crush, it was LOVE!
But when I tried to explain it to them, they just laughed and said it was time for me to grow up.
So now, they take away my phone and computer whenever they catch me doing anything related to Tezcatlipoca, and I'm not allowed to play any video games at all when they're home…which is basically all the time, since they both work from home now.
It's really unfair, and it makes me even more obsessed with Tezcatlipoca than ever!
