All the 5 guys are in the production team with me.
I am leading them to complete the task.

I know him when I was studying in college.

We are good friends and he is also my roommate in college.

Michael Johnson is the second person in our team.
He is short and wear a glasses on his face.
He doesn’t talk too much and has no so many friends in the company.
John told us that Michael is an introverted person and he focuses on the details of the work.
He always wants to make everything perfect.
But sometimes he will take a lot of time to do a simple thing.
The third person, David Brown is John’s cousin and he is a muscular man.
He has two tattoos in his arms.
David is a humorous person and can make everyone laugh in one second.
He is laidback and sometimes he will be a bit lazy.
John told us that David is an easygoing person and we can work and live with him very well.
However, I find that David always makes Michael Johnson angry when they are working together.
I think David is too lazy and doesn’t take care about the work at all.
But Michael is an introverted person and he is very serious at the work.
In my opinion, I think the reason why Michael is angry with David because David doesn’t do his job well and causes many mistakes when they are working together.
So, I think it’s normal for Michael to be angry with him.
But what I don’t understand is that John knows everything but he just ignores them.
I just don’t know why he does it.
Anyway, I am new here and I don’t know much about the company now.
I decide to keep silent and see what will happen later.
“Michael, you need to do it according to this way.” “No, it’s impossible!If you do it according to what you said, it will cause a big mistake!”
Murmuring comes from their seats again.
I find that they are in the argument again.

The office is quiet.
When they see the expression of me, they hesitate for a while.
“I think what John said is right.
We need to work together in order to complete the task well.” Micheal says.
“There are many mistakes in the production now.
The quality of the product is also bad.
If we continue like this, the company will be shut down soon.” Michael continues.
I look at him and smile.
“Good job!”
“Then you need to express yourself more.”
Michael nods his head and keeps silent.
When they hear me saying this, they all start to speak out what they think now.
“Damn!This guy is just thinking about playing the tricks on me.” David says as he looks at Michael with an angry face.
“What do you mean?”
“The way you speak out.”
“You just said what you thought that day.”
“I didn’t mean that.” David says and continues looking at Michael with an angry face.
After I open up the words, they start to speak out one by one what they think about it now.
“I agree with what Micheal said.”
“I think we should work out a solution. Then you give us a task every day.”
“We can finish it by ourselves.”
“We can have a meeting every week and share what we do.”
David says jokingly but we all know that he is serious now.
“I agree.” I nod my head.
We need to work out a solution now and come up with something.
I look at them and continue.
“Then what are you waiting for?”
Their eyes flash when they see me saying this.
They all nod their heads and go back to their seats.
“You need to work hard on it!”
I shout at them.
“Sure, boss!”
They nod their heads and say.
The next day, they come to the office early.
I also come to the office early today.
I see them sitting in the office and working hard.
The office is quiet and I don’t see any murmuring at all.
The productivity of the team has been improved.
The output has also been improved after we come up with the solution.
The quality of the product has also been improved.
I find that we are working like a team now.
I am very happy to see this scene.

However, after a week, I start to find that we are back to the beginning again.
I find it increasingly difficult to maintain my enthusiasm for work, especially in the presence of my cousin, David Brown, whose constant jokes and laidback attitude grated on my nerves.
He was always making fun of me, even when I was trying to work, which was annoying and distracting.
As a result, we often clashed over our work responsibilities, as he didn’t seem to take them seriously enough for me.
This meant that I had to pick up extra work, which only made things worse between us, as he kept making jokes about this too!
It seemed that no matter what I did, he just wasn’t happy with how I was handling things, which made it really difficult for me to be productive around him.
One afternoon, after a particularly frustrating meeting with Michael Johnson and David about what they needed from me in order to complete their tasks more efficiently, I decided that enough was enough!
We needed to address the issues we had within our team – once and for all!
Although I had no idea how to go about doing this, I knew that it had to be done – now!
I call both David and Michael into my office.
They both come in and look at me with confusion.
I sit in the chair and cross my hands.
“What happened?”
Michael asks me with confusion.
“Sit down.” I say to them.
They both sit on the chair and look at me with confusion.
I sigh and look at them.
“Do you know what we are doing now?”
“We want to talk about the things that bother us.”
“But it seems that you guys all forget about it.”
“What are you talking about?You need to be specific.”
David says to me with confusion.
“I mean that we are back to the beginning again.”
I shout at them.
They both nod their heads and keep silent.
David keeps silent and looks at me with confusion.
I stand up and look at them.
“You two come with me.”
They nod their heads and stand up.
I walk out of the office and go to the meeting room.
I turn back and look at them.
“Sit down.” I say to them.
They both sit down and keep silent.
I stand in front of the board and look at them.
“We need to talk about it now.”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean that we all have our own problems.”
“We need to talk about it now.”
“Our problem is that David is always making fun of me.”
He looks at me and says with a smile.
“What can I do for this?”
“Stop making fun of me!”
“You know that I am just joking.”
“I am not joking and stop doing this!”
I shout at him.
He looks at me with a frown and keeps silent.
“What is your problem?”
“I know that we all have our own personality.” I say to David and Michael with a serious face.
“But we need to finish the work fast now.”
“We have a lot of work to do now.”
“You know what I mean?”
I say to them with determination in my words.
“Come on.” David says jokingly to Michael.

I look at David with determination.
I sit there and look at John.
I feel that he is right.
But I don’t know how to say about this.
This is the first time I see John like this.
I always see him as an organized person.

I keep silent and look at the ground.
“So what do you want for me to do now?”
I ask him with confusion.
“I want you to fix this problem.” He says to me seriously.
He looks at me and keeps silent.
“So what are we going to do now?”
I ask him again.
“It’s true that our work is not efficient enough.” He says to me truthfully.
“But can we do it now?”
“No, I think we can’t.”
“Because our output now is not enough for us to achieve the large production goal set by the management.”
“So what can we do now?”
“How can we do it?”
I ask him with determination in my words.
“Don’t you want to know how can we do it now?”
“I want to know.” He says to me truthfully.
I keep silent and look at the ground.
“This is what I want for you to change.” He says to me seriously.
“What can I change about me now?”
“How can I change this now?”
“You need to be more ambitious.” He says to me seriously.
“But it’s hard for me.” I say to him truthfully.
“How can I be more ambitious?”
“It’s true that it’s hard for you.”
“But you know that I don’t like excuses, right?”
“Yes, I know that you don’t like excuses.” I say to him truthfully.
“Don’t make any excuses for yourself anymore.” He says to me seriously.
“Then what should I do?”
To be honest, it’s hard for me to talk like this with John, because he is my cousin.
I am afraid that he will be mad at me if I talk like this with him.
But I think that it’s time for me to talk with him like this.
It’s time for us to be serious about this matter.
To be honest, this is not the first time that someone talked like this with me.
A few months ago, someone talked like this with me too, but I didn’t take his advice seriously until now, which makes me regret a lot after that.
