US Patrol using ideaForge UAV for patrol
John took a deep breath, trying to suppress his excitement as he drove the team’s ATV over the sand dunes.
He had been waiting for this day for a long time.
A week ago, the team had received a new delivery from ideaForge, a company based in India that produced military-grade drones for law enforcement and military use.
The drones were significantly more advanced than their previous models, featuring a high-definition camera and thermal imaging capabilities.
With these drones, the team would be able to greatly improve its patrol and search-and-rescue operations in the Mojave Desert.
As the UAV operator of the team, John couldn’t wait to test out the new drones in the field.
The only thing that got him more excited than talking about drones was flying them.
He looked over at his colleagues, who were sitting behind him in the ATV.
Sarah Johnson was a patrol officer with a no-nonsense attitude and an impressive set of field skills.
She was also one of the most experienced sniper shooters on the team.
David Lee was another patrol officer and a former detective who had worked on a number of high-profile criminal cases.
He was shorter than John and had a medium build with black hair.
He was also one of the most charismatic and resourceful officers on the team.
The three of them had been working together for over a year now, and John considered them to be some of his best friends.
He couldn’t wait to show them the new drones that they would be using on their patrols from now on.
“Almost there,” he said with a grin.
“You guys are going to love these new drones.”
Sarah just rolled her eyes, sending John a look that clearly said “don’t get your hopes up.”
She had heard John talk about drones so many times before that she knew what to expect.
And she wasn’t looking forward to it.
Sure enough, as soon as they arrived at their destination, John pulled out his new ideaForge drone and started setting it up on top of the ATV.
The drone was only about 30 centimeters long, but it could fly up to 3 kilometers away and stay in the air for almost half an hour.
It was equipped with everything the team needed, including both a high-definition camera and thermal imaging capabilities, which would make it much easier to spot suspects out in the field, even at night or when they were hiding under thick brush or trees, or in caves.
As the drone powered up, John grabbed his remote control and turned on the app on his smartphone, which he would use to see exactly what the drone’s camera was seeing at any given time.
He also had the option to manually fly the drone, or to set it up on autopilot and let it fly a predetermined route, taking pictures or video along the way.
