MidReal Story

Chapter One Peter Parker Peter was walking across a street in New York City, having left the bar he had been at with his friends. He was tipsy from the beer, and his vision wavered as he made his way to the other side of the street. He pulled out his phone to check the time, knowing he had to head back soon. He had an early class the next morning and couldn’t afford to miss it. But then he shoved his phone back into his pocket, not caring if he was late for class the next day. He had a very important job to do that night. He had to be Spiderman. Peter felt his heart rate quicken as he thought about the masked superhero he had become. It had been two months since he had been bitten by the radioactive spider, and he was still getting used to his new powers. He had spent every night since fighting crime in New York City, making sure its citizens were safe from danger. He had to protect his city. He had to make sure its streets were safe for everyone. He became Spiderman as soon as the sun went down, using his super-human strength and agility to fight criminals who threatened the peace of New York City. But during the day, he was just a regular college student, trying to get by with what little money he had. He was an orphan, living on his own in a small apartment in Queens. He was a genius, but he didn’t have enough money to attend a good college. He was poor, but he made up for it with his intelligence and his passion for science. But being a genius wasn’t enough to pay the bills. He was barely scraping by, working two jobs just to pay for tuition and rent. And at night, when he put on his Spiderman costume, he was free. He didn’t have to worry about money or grades. He didn’t have to worry about anything except doing what was right. And as long as he knew that he was making a difference in someone’s life, then he knew that everything would work out. But it wasn’t easy being a superhero. He had to be careful with his secret identity, making sure no one found out that he was really Peter Parker. He didn’t want anyone to know that he was Spiderman. Not even his best friend knew the truth. Peter turned the corner and headed into an alleyway, pulling off his clothes and stuffing them into his backpack. Then he put on his costume and swung up into the night sky, heading toward the sound of sirens in the distance. He reached his destination within minutes, landing on top of a building across from a bank. There were several men with guns running into it, shouting at everyone inside to get down on the ground. Peter crouched down and watched them closely, scanning their faces to make sure none of them looked familiar. Then he jumped from the building and landed on the ground behind them, webbing their hands together before they could react. The men struggled against their restraints as Peter stood up and walked into the bank. He made sure everyone inside was okay before he turned back around and headed toward the door. And that’s when he saw her.

A woman was standing in the doorway with a gun in her hand. She was pointing it at Peter, telling him that if he moved she would shoot. He could feel his heart pounding in his ears as he stared at the woman. She was tall and thin, with long blonde hair and bright blue eyes. She looked familiar, but he couldn’t quite place her. He took a step forward, but she just shook her head and told him to stop.“I’m not going to hurt you,” he said, holding his hands up in front of him. “Just put the gun down.”She hesitated for a moment, then lowered the gun and ran toward him. He could feel his heart pounding in his chest as she threw her arms around him, hugging him tightly. He hugged her back, not understanding why she was hugging him.“It’s me,” she said, pulling away from him. “It’s Gwen.”Peter stared at her in shock as she stepped back and looked at him with a smile on her face. He hugged her again, not wanting to let go of her.“I thought you were dead,” he whispered.“I thought you were too,” she said. They stood there for a moment, just holding each other and trying to process what was happening. Then Peter pulled away from her and looked into her eyes, searching for any sign that she was lying. But all he saw was relief and happiness in her expression.“Come on,” he said, taking her by the hand. “Let’s get out of here.” He led her out of the bank and into the alleyway behind it, then he wrapped his arms around her waist and shot a web up onto a nearby building. They swung up into the night sky, heading toward the Brooklyn Bridge.
