I was falling.
Falling through time and space, my body tumbling end over end as I plummeted through the vortex.
The world around me was a blur of colors and shapes, a kaleidoscope of light that twisted and turned in on itself as I hurtled toward an unknown destination.
My stomach lurched with each somersault, my head spinning from the disorienting motion.
I tried to scream, but no sound came out.
I was trapped in this nightmare, unable to wake up or escape.
And then, just as suddenly as it had begun, it was over.
Chapter 1
"Elara?"
The Time Lord was suddenly at my side, his silver hair shining in the harsh light of the TARDIS.
His piercing blue eyes locked onto mine, filling me with a sense of comfort and safety that I so desperately needed.
"What happened?"
I asked, my voice shaky and weak.
"We got caught in a temporal anomaly," he explained, his tone calm and even.
"It threw us off course for a moment, but I’ve already corrected it."
He pulled out his sonic screwdriver and waved it around, stabilizing our environment once more.
The lights dimmed and the air cleared, leaving us in a state of temporary calm.
"Are you all right?" he asked, extending a hand to help me up.
"I’m fine," I replied, ignoring the aches and pains that radiated through my body.
I didn’t want to worry him any more than he already was.
He smiled at me, his eyes warm and kind behind his glasses.
"Good," he said, pulling me to my feet.
"I’m glad to hear it."

Just as suddenly as we had come to a stop, the TARDIS was in motion once more, hurtling through time and space like a comet streaking across the universe.
The engines thrummed beneath us, a steady hum that seemed to resonate through every fiber of my being.
It was both terrifying and exhilarating, a constant reminder of our precarious existence in this vast cosmos.
I gripped onto the railing as we hurtled forward, watching the world streak by in a blur of colors and shapes that I couldn’t quite make out.
"Where are we going?" I asked, my voice barely audible over the roar of the engines.
"To the beginning," he replied, his eyes shining with excitement and anticipation.
"To the very birth of time and space."

I found myself falling, my body twisting and turning through a vortex of colors and shapes that defied comprehension.
The world around me was a blur of light and shadow, a kaleidoscope of images that shifted and changed before my eyes.
I tried to scream, but no sound came out.

The air whipped past me with a deafening roar, the wind rushing through my hair and stinging my eyes as I hurtled toward an unknown destination.
I tried to get my bearings, but everything was moving too quickly, spinning and whirling in a dizzying display of motion and light.
I could feel the world slipping away from me, fading into darkness as I fell further and further into the abyss.
I’m going to die, I thought, panic rising up in my chest like a tidal wave threatening to engulf me.
I’m going to die and there’s nothing I can do about it.
Time seemed to elongate and compress simultaneously, stretching moments into eternities before snapping back into abrupt quickness.
I felt as though I had been falling forever, my body weightless and insubstantial as I drifted through the void.
And then, just as suddenly as it had begun, it was over.
I landed with a thud on solid ground, my body skidding across the cold metal floor.
"Elara?"

I tried to stand up, but my legs felt like jelly and I collapsed back onto the floor.
"Ow," I groaned, clutching my head in my hands.
"Are you sure you’re all right?" he asked, crouching down beside me.
"Yeah," I mumbled.
"I think so."
My vision swam before my eyes, the room spinning in a disorienting display of motion.
I tried to focus on his face, but everything was moving too quickly for me to make out.

I took a deep breath and tried to steady myself.
"Thanks," I said.

Chapter 2
I asked as I watched him manipulate the controls of the TARDIS console with lightning speed.
"I’m not sure," he replied, his brow furrowed in concentration.
"We seem to be caught in some sort of temporal anomaly. We’re being pulled through time and space at an incredible rate."
The familiar hum of the TARDIS engines filled the air as we hurtled through time and space at breakneck speed.
I clung to the railing of the console as we raced through the vortex, dodging past stars and planets like a comet streaking across the universe.

A moment later, we landed with a thud on what felt like solid ground.
I braced myself for impact and was relieved to find that we had landed safely on our feet.
I took a deep breath and looked around at our new surroundings.
We were on a desolate planet beneath two suns, their intense light and heat beating down on us from above.
The surface was cracked and barren, with jagged rocks jutting up through the ground like broken teeth.
"I’m not sure," he replied as he stepped out of the TARDIS and scanned our surroundings.
"It seems to be some sort of hidden moon."
"One of Gallifrey’s many moons," he explained.
"But it’s not just any moon. It’s one of Gallifrey’s many hidden moons."
"Why are we here?"
I asked, my heart pounding in my chest.
"We’ve been drawn here by an artifact known as the Time-Space Matrix," he explained.
"The Time-Space Matrix is said to be one of the most powerful devices in all of time and space. It has the ability to see all of time at once and can be used to control time itself."

He looked down at me with a serious expression on his face.
"If our enemies get their hands on the Time-Space Matrix, they will be able to control all of time itself. We have to reach it before they do."
He stepped out of the TARDIS and into the blinding sunlight.
I followed him, shielding my eyes from the intense light as we walked across the rocky surface of the moon.
In the distance, I could see the ancient ruins of Gallifrey rising up from the ground like monolithic sentinels.
They were surrounded by an impenetrable force field that shimmered in the heat of the suns, casting a rainbow of colors over the landscape.
As we approached the ruins, Dr. Vex handed me a small device that resembled a pocket watch.
"This will help us locate the Time-Space Matrix," he explained.
"It’s a temporal scanner that can detect any disturbances in time."
I nodded and clipped it to my belt, readying myself for whatever dangers lay ahead.
