She is in love with this guy but he doesnt even know she exist. He is her idol of an kpop idol. She has met him twice and what happens if he fell in love with harder.
I was just a girl with a dream.
A dream that would never come true.
I was just a girl who loved Kpop, and I was just a girl who loved Jayden Kim.
He was my idol, my inspiration, and my everything.
I had been following his career since the beginning, and I had been there for him through thick and thin.
I had been there for him when he was just starting out, and I had been there for him when he became the superstar that he was today.
I had been there for him when he was happy, and I had been there for him when he was sad.
I had been there for him when he was in love, and I had been there for him when he was heartbroken.
I had been there for him through it all, even though he didn’t know that I existed.
But that didn’t matter to me because I knew that one day, our paths would cross, and we would be together forever.
And that day came sooner than I thought it would.
It all started on a sunny afternoon in May.
I didn’t mind my job, but I didn’t love it either.
I did it because it paid the bills and because my best friend Mia was my manager.
Mia was the one who had gotten me the job in the first place, and she was the one who had trained me.
She was also the one who had given me strict orders not to use my Kpop obsession as an excuse to slack off while I was at work.
She knew that I had a tendency to daydream about my favorite idols, and she didn’t want that to interfere with my duties as a barista.
“Don’t even think about it,” she had said to me sternly when she caught me doodling Jayden’s name on a napkin.
“You know how I feel about fangirling at work, and I won’t hesitate to send you home if you can’t do your job properly.”
I knew that she meant what she said, so I did my best to focus on the task at hand and not let my mind wander.
But that was easier said than done, especially when Jayden himself walked through the door.
My heart skipped a beat when I saw him, and I felt a rush of adrenaline course through my veins.
I couldn’t believe that he was standing right in front of me, just a few feet away.
He looked even more handsome in person than he did in all of his pictures, and I had to resist the urge to scream out loud like all of the other fans would have done if they were here with me.
But they weren’t, and I knew that Mia wouldn’t be happy if she saw me acting like a typical fangirl on the job.
She would probably make fun of me for weeks, and I didn’t want to give her any more ammunition than she already had.
So I took a deep breath and composed myself as best as I could.
Then I put on my most professional smile and walked over to take his order.
“Hi, welcome to The Daily Grind,” I said brightly.
“What can I get for you today?”
He smiled at me, and my heart melted into a puddle of goo.
“Hey, how’s it going?”
he asked in his smooth, velvety voice.
“Can I get a caramel macchiato with an extra shot of espresso?”
“Of course,” I replied, trying not to sound like a complete idiot even though that was exactly how I felt inside.
“One caramel macchiato with an extra shot of espresso coming right up.”
I turned around and walked over to the counter, feeling like I was floating on air.
I couldn’t believe that Jayden had just spoken to me, and I couldn’t believe that he was here in my coffee shop, my workplace, my domain.
It was like a dream come true, but it wasn’t a dream at all.
It was real life, and he was really here, really standing right in front of me, really looking at me with those dark, soulful eyes of his that made me feel like he could see right through me and into my very soul.

I felt my cheeks turn pink as I turned away from him so that he wouldn’t notice how much he was affecting me, so that he wouldn’t see how flustered I really was.
I didn’t know how much more of this I could take, but I didn’t have much of a choice because he was Jayden Kim, my ultimate bias and the person who made my heart race faster than anyone else on the planet.
He was Jayden Kim, the person who had brought light into my life when everything else seemed dark and hopeless.
He was Jayden Kim, the person who made me believe in myself when I didn’t think that anyone else ever would.
And he was Jayden Kim, the one true love of my life… even though he would never know it or return my affections because he was an international superstar and I was just a humble barista who made coffee for a living.
I shook my head to clear my thoughts as I got started on Jayden’s order.
I could worry about my feelings for him later, and I could worry about what I was going to do if Mia caught me fangirling at work.
Right now, I had a job to do, and I needed to focus on doing it well.
If I wanted to keep my job and continue paying my bills, then I had to make sure that every customer left satisfied, even if that customer just so happened to be Jayden Kim himself.
“Hey, Em,” Mia called from behind the counter.
“Don’t forget the rules. No fangirling while you’re at work, and no talking to the customers unless they talk to you first.”
I glared at her over my shoulder as I made Jayden’s drink.
“I know what the rules are,” I snapped.
“I’m not stupid, you know.”
“Then stop acting like it,” she replied.
“Be professional, do your job, and maybe you’ll make it through this shift without getting yourself into any trouble.”
I rolled my eyes at her and turned back to my work before she could see how annoyed I was with her.
Mia and I had been friends since we were kids, and I loved her like a sister… most of the time.
But I didn’t love her when she was being a nag, and I didn’t love her when she was getting on my case about doing something that I wasn’t even doing in the first place.
I sighed and shook my head as I finished making Jayden’s drink, wondering if Mia would ever learn to give me a break or if she would always be like this, always looking for a reason to get on my case.
I hoped that it was the former, but I had a feeling that it was the latter, and that was something that I would have to learn to live with if we were going to continue being friends for the rest of our lives.
I took a deep breath and walked back over to Jayden, trying not to let my annoyance get the best of me as I handed him his drink.
“One caramel macchiato with an extra shot of espresso,” I said with a smile.
“Is there anything else that I can get for you today?”
He looked at me and smiled back, and I felt like my heart was going to beat right out of my chest.
“Thanks,” he said, reaching into his pocket for his wallet.
“How much do I owe you?”
I glanced down at the register and quickly calculated the total in my head, only to realize that he had given me a $100 bill instead of a $20 bill like most people would have.

When I realized what he had done, my eyes widened with surprise, and he chuckled softly.
“Keep the change,” he said, waving his hand as if it were nothing.
“Seriously, you don’t have to do that,” I insisted.
“It’s not like I need your money or anything.”
“Are you sure about that?”
he asked, raising an eyebrow.
“I mean, you are working at a coffee shop, aren’t you?”
I blushed and bit my lip, not sure how to respond.
It wasn’t like we were poor or anything, but we definitely weren’t wealthy either, and if there was one thing that Mia and I had learned over the years, it was that every little bit helped.
But he didn’t have to know that, and I wasn’t about to tell him.
“I’ll be fine,” I said lamely, waving him off in return.
“It’s not like my parents kicked me out of the house or anything.”
He looked at me for a long moment, as if he were trying to decide what to say next.
His eyes darkened with something that I couldn’t quite place, and my breath caught in my throat as he spoke again.
“Well, thanks for the drink,” he said, smiling warmly once more.
“I’ll see you around.”
And then he turned and walked away without another word, leaving me standing there with my mouth hanging wide open and my heart pounding out of control.

When I finally came back down to earth a few minutes later, Mia was standing right behind me with her arms folded across her chest and her eyes narrowed into dangerous slits.
“What do you think you’re doing?”
she hissed through clenched teeth.
“I could have gotten fired just now because of you.”
“I know,” she replied sharply.
“And do you know what else?”
I shook my head slowly and bit my lip so hard that it hurt.
“What else?”
“You’re acting like a complete fool,” she scolded me.
“It’s not like he’s going to fall in love with you just because you made him a drink at a coffee shop.”
“I know that,” I replied, rolling my eyes at her.
“But that’s not what I was doing, and you know it!”
“Really?”
she asked skeptically, raising an eyebrow.
“Because it sure looked like that’s what you were doing from where I was standing.”
I opened my mouth to argue with her, but she cut me off before I could say a word.
“Listen,” she said, placing a hand on my shoulder and squeezing gently.
“I know how much you love him, and I get it, I really do.But the chances of you ever actually meeting him again are about as likely as me meeting him, and I don’t have time for this right now.”
I frowned and looked at her with a mixture of hurt and confusion that I hoped she would be able to understand without me having to explain myself.
