A speaking rabbit In human world
I was just a small, fluffy rabbit with bright eyes.
I had no idea that I was about to become the most famous rabbit in the world.
It all started when I was sitting in the park, minding my own business.
I’d just finished eating a delicious carrot and was feeling very content.
The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and everything was perfect.
I closed my eyes and let out a happy little sigh.
When I opened them again, I saw two humans walking towards me.
One of them was tall and had glasses and a kind smile.
The other one was short and had curly hair and a very energetic expression on her face.
They both looked very nice, so I decided to go over and say hello.
I hopped up to them and said, “Hello!”
The tall one jumped back in surprise, while the short one let out a little scream.
Then they both stared at me with their mouths hanging open.
“Did you hear that?”
The tall one nodded.
“I did,” he said.

The short one turned to him and said, “Say something to it, John!”
The tall one, whose name apparently was John, looked down at me with a very serious expression on his face.
Then he said, “Hello.”
“Hello,” I replied.
The short one let out another little scream and collapsed in a very dramatic fashion.
The tall one quickly bent down to check on her, while I hopped over to see if she was okay.
She looked up at me with very wide eyes and said, “You’re speaking!”
I cocked my head to the side and said, “Yes.”
“You’re a rabbit,” she said.
“Yes,” I replied, a little bit confused.
I mean, what else would I be?
The short one let out another little scream and said, “This is amazing!”
Then she started asking me all sorts of questions, like how I was able to speak and if there were any other animals that could speak too.
The tall one seemed very interested in this as well.
I wasn’t sure what all the fuss was about, but I did my best to answer their questions.
It turned out that the short one’s name was Jane and that she worked at the school nearby.
The tall one’s name was John, and he worked at the school as well.
Apparently they were both friends with the school’s principal, who just so happened to be a very good friend of mine too.
I didn’t think this was a big deal at all, but the humans were acting like it was the most amazing thing that had ever happened.
They both asked me if I would like to go with them to the school and meet some of the other animals who could speak too.
I thought that sounded like a lot of fun, so I hopped into the little basket that Jane carried on her back and let her take me there.
As soon as we arrived at the school, all the other animals came running up to greet me.
They were all very excited to meet me and asked me all sorts of questions about myself.
I soon found myself at the center of attention, and I have to admit that I kind of liked it.
It was nice to be able to tell everyone about myself for once, instead of just sitting in a cage or hutch all day long.
After a while, Jane asked me if I would like to stay at the school and help her take care of the other animals.
I thought this sounded like a lot of fun, so I decided to stay.
As it turned out, this was one of the best decisions I ever made in my entire life.
Whispers of Wonderland
When the two humans reached the edge of the park, they stopped and stared at me with very wide eyes.
Then they both looked at each other and began talking in very loud voices.
“What is that thing?”
the shorter one exclaimed.
“It’s a rabbit,” the taller one replied, in a very calm voice.
“I know it’s a rabbit,” the shorter one said.
“What I want to know is why it’s sitting there talking to us!”
The taller human looked down at me with a very serious expression on his face and said, “Did you just speak?”
I cocked my head to the side and replied, “Yes.”
The two humans stared at me for a moment in complete disbelief.
Then they both looked at each other again and began talking in very loud voices once more.
“Did you just hear what I heard?”
the shorter one exclaimed.
“The rabbit spoke!
It actually spoke!”
“Do you think we’re going crazy?”
the taller one asked.
“I don’t know,” the shorter human replied.
“Maybe we’re having some kind of telepathic conversation with it or something.”
The taller human shook his head and said, “I don’t think so.I think the rabbit is actually speaking.”
“I can hear you,” I said.
“Then it must be speaking out loud,” the taller human said.
“Yes,” I replied.
They both stared at me for a moment in complete shock.
Then the shorter human let out another little scream and said, “This is impossible!
Rabbits can’t speak!”
I decided not to tell them that I had always been able to speak, because I didn’t think they would believe me anyway.
Instead I just sat there and waited to see what they would do next.
The taller human bent down so he was eye level with me and said, “Did you say something?”
“Yes,” I replied, nodding my head.
He stared at me for a moment with very wide eyes and then said, “My name is John. What’s yours?”
“Alice,” I replied.
“Nice to meet you, Alice,” he said, giving me a very nice smile.
I smiled back at him and then suddenly remembered that the shorter human was still standing there as well.
I turned around and looked up at her.
She was staring down at me with her mouth hanging open and a very shocked expression on her face.
She quickly bent down so she was eye level with me as well and said, “Did you just say your name was Alice?”
“Yes,” I replied.
She let out another little scream and then collapsed in a very dramatic fashion once more.
This time she didn’t get back up again.
Instead she just lay there on the ground, staring up at the sky with a very stunned expression on her face.
I cocked my head to the side and looked at her for a moment before turning back to John and saying, “Is she okay?”
He bent down and checked on her for a moment before looking up at me and saying, “I think so.”
“Do you think she’s going to get up anytime soon?”
I asked.

He smiled at me and then bent down so he was a bit more comfortable before saying, “This is incredible! Please don’t take this the wrong way because we’re very happy that you can talk, but I need an explanation of how this is possible.” He paused for a moment while waiting for my response.
I decided not to tell him that I had always been able to talk because I didn’t think he would believe me anyway.
I also didn’t want him to think that I was some kind of freak.
So I just sat there for a moment while thinking of how I could explain it in a way that he would understand.
Finally I decided that the simplest explanation would be best and simply said, “Magic.”
He nodded his head and then smiled at me before saying, “That makes sense.”
I smiled back at him and then decided to let him know that I was still there by saying, “Hello, I’m still here.”
He quickly sat up straight and then turned around so he was facing me once more before saying, “Oh yeah!Sorry about that.” Then he paused for a moment and stared at me with wide eyes before saying, “You can talk!”
“I know,” I replied.
There was a moment of silence while he processed this information and then he turned around and looked at the shorter human, who was still lying on the ground and staring up at the sky with her mouth hanging open.
“Jane, are you okay?”
he asked her.
She turned to look at him for a moment and then quickly sat up straight, giving him yet another shocked expression.
“Yes, I’m fine, I think,” she replied before turning to look at me and saying, “This is incredible!
I can’t believe it!”
She quickly jumped up and ran over to me, picking me up and hugging me tightly to her chest as she began to dance around the park while singing, “We’re off to see the wizard! The wonderful wizard of Oz!”
As she did this, John quickly got up and ran after her before grabbing her by the arm and pulling her back down to the ground once more.
They both sat there for a moment, panting heavily, as they stared down at me in disbelief and wonder.
I looked up at them for a moment and then said, “So…are you two going to introduce yourselves or what?”
My comment seemed to bring them back to their senses and they quickly sat up straight and turned to look at each other for a moment before smiling and turning back to me.
“Sorry about that,” John said.
“No problem,” I replied.
He smiled at me for a moment and then turned to look at Jane before saying, “My name is John Smith. What’s yours?”
“Alice,” I replied before turning to look at Jane and saying, “And what’s your name?”
She quickly grabbed my paw and shook it vigorously while saying, “Jane Carter. It’s very nice to meet you!”
“It’s very nice to meet you too,” I replied.
Then there was another moment of silence while they both continued to stare at me in wonder and amazement before John turned to look at Jane and said, “Okay, so maybe you’re not insane after all.
But how is it possible?”
Whispers of Wonderland
“Well,” I began before pausing for a moment while trying to come up with the perfect way to tell them that I’m not really talking at all.
But in the end I decided that being honest was probably the best way to go about this.
So I took a deep breath and said, “I’m not really talking. It’s more like I’m thinking really hard about what I want to say and somehow you guys are hearing my thoughts.”
They both stared at me for a moment in shock before turning to look at each other once more.
John turned back to look at me for a moment before shaking his head and saying, “I can’t believe this. You’re just too cute to be real.”
He paused for a moment before shaking his head once more and muttering, “This is impossible. There’s no way that rabbits can talk.”
“Excuse me,” I replied.
“What was that?”
he asked me.
“I just wanted to know if you were planning on hurting me or anything like that,” I replied.
“No,” he replied.
“We would never do anything like that.”
“Then why are you looking at me like that?”
I asked him.
He quickly turned to look at Jane for a moment before turning back to me once more.
“It’s just that…rabbits aren’t supposed to talk,” he replied.
“And we’re not supposed to be able to understand them either,” Jane added.
“So how are we doing it?”
John turned to look at her for a moment before turning back to me once more and saying, “You know what?I don’t know.”
“Well, it doesn’t really matter now, does it?”
I asked him with a smile.
“No, I suppose not,” he replied.
“So where do we go from here?”
Jane asked him.
He thought about it for a moment before turning to look at her and saying, “I think we should take her home with us so we can keep an eye on her until we figure out what’s going on.”
She paused for a moment while thinking about this idea before nodding her head in agreement.
Then she quickly turned to look at me and said, “Let’s go for a walk! What do you say?”
She quickly grabbed me by the arm and began to drag me away from John while he quickly ran after us and tried to catch up.
I don’t know about this,” he said.
“I mean, I think it’s a great idea but…is she going to be okay?”
“Of course she is,” Jane replied.
She turned to look at me for a moment before saying, “Just keep holding on tight okay?
I don’t want you to get lost.”
I nodded my head in agreement as she began to drag me away from John once more.
We walked around the park for a while before finally stopping at a nearby café where we sat down at a table in front of a window.
After ordering some tea for herself and a bowl of carrots for me, she turned to look at me once more and said, “So…what do you want to talk about?”
“How about why you guys are so surprised that I can talk?”
I suggested with a smile.
“Well,” she began as she thought about this for a moment.
“The thing is…we never thought that rabbits could talk.I mean, it’s just not something you see everyday.”
