Evelyn was a princess escaping from the revolution against her father's empire of stars. Her bodyguard Yezy took her to a remote planet without any others, and then left her alone. Evelyn now is still waiting for her man alone on the planet full of wheats.
The stars were shining brightly in the sky.
I was sitting on the balcony, looking at the stars, and waiting for Yezy to come back.
He had been gone for a long time.
I missed him so much.
I wanted to see him, but I couldn’t.
My father told me that I couldn’t see Yezy anymore.
He said that Yezy was no longer my bodyguard and that he would be sent to the battlefield to fight for our empire.
I didn’t want Yezy to go, but I couldn’t do anything about it.
My father was the Emperor of the Stars, and I was just a princess.
I had to listen to my father’s orders, even if it meant losing the person I loved the most in this world.
I heard footsteps behind me and turned around.
It was my mother.
She came over and sat down next to me on the balcony.
“Evelyn, what are you doing here?”
she asked me gently.
“I’m waiting for Yezy,” I said quietly.
I nodded, my eyes brimming with tears.
I knew that my father was going to send Yezy away, but I still wanted to see him one last time, even if it was just for a moment.
“Your father has his reasons for doing this,” my mother said.
“I know,” I replied softly.
I knew that the empire needed soldiers to fight for it, and Yezy was one of the best soldiers we had.
He was strong, brave, and intelligent, and he was always ready to lay down his life for the empire.
I was proud of him, but at the same time, I was also worried about him.
The battlefield was dangerous, and I didn’t know when he would come back.
I wanted to stay by his side and take care of him, but I wasn’t allowed to do so.
“Your father has already sent someone to take care of Yezy on the battlefield,” my mother said.
“You don’t have to worry about him.”
“Will he come back?”
I asked her.
“He will,” my mother said with a smile.
But when will he come back?”
I asked her again.
“I don’t know.”
My mother sighed and looked at me with a concerned expression on her face.
“You should go back inside,” she said to me.
“It’s getting late, and you haven’t eaten anything yet.”
“I’m not hungry,” I replied softly.
“I just want to wait for Yezy.”
“You can wait for him inside,” my mother said.
The weather is getting colder, and you might catch a cold if you stay outside for too long.
I nodded and got up from the balcony.
My mother followed me back into the room.
As soon as we entered the room, my mother told the maids to bring me some food so that I could eat something.
I sat down at the table and tried to eat something, but I didn’t have any appetite at all.
All I could think about was Yezy and when he would come back.
After a while, I put down my chopsticks and pushed the bowl away from me.
Star-Crossed Destiny
“I can’t eat anymore,” I said to my mother.
My mother looked at me with a worried expression on her face.
“Evelyn, are you all right?”
She reached out and put her hand on my forehead to check my temperature.
“You’re not running a fever. Why don’t you feel like eating anything?”
“I miss Yezy.I want him to come back soon,” I said quietly.
My mother sighed and looked at me with a sad expression on her face.
“I know how much you care about Yezy,” she said gently.
“But your father has his reasons for sending him away. You can’t do anything about it.”
I know that,” I replied softly.
But I really want to see him again.”
“I understand,” my mother said with a smile.
“Why don’t we go out for a walk tomorrow? So that you won’t be so bored here alone.”
I’m fine.” I shook my head and smiled at her.
“Go and rest early.Mother, don’t worry.I’ll be fine.”
Star-Crossed Destiny
The Empress of the Stars looked at me with a gentle smile on her face, but her smile soon faded away.
“I miss your father,” she said to me quietly.
“Do you think he misses me too?”
“I think he does,” I replied.
“But he’s always busy with the affairs of the empire, so he doesn’t have time to come back and see us.”
My mother nodded in agreement.
She had always been supportive of my father, no matter what he did.
She knew that it was difficult for him to make decisions as the Emperor of the Stars, and she was always there for him when he needed her.
However, I didn’t know if she would be able to help him this time.
The rift between my father and me seemed to be getting bigger, and I didn’t know if we could ever bridge it.
“Don’t worry,” I said to my mother.
“If Father misses you, he’ll come back soon.”
The Empress of the Stars smiled at me, but I could see the sadness in her eyes.
She missed my father very much, but she didn’t show it often because she didn’t want us to worry about her.
As I spoke, I closed my eyes and leaned back against the chair.
It was already late, but I still couldn’t sleep.
Eventually, I heard the sound of soft breathing coming from the bed, and I knew that my mother had fallen asleep.
I opened my eyes and looked out of the window.
The stars in the sky were still twinkling brightly, just like they always did.
I got up from the chair and went out onto the balcony.
I stood there for a while, looking at the stars and waiting for Yezy to come back.
Suddenly, I heard footsteps behind me.
I turned around and saw that it was my mother.
She came over and sat down next to me on the balcony.
“Evelyn, what are you doing here?”
she asked me gently.
“I’m waiting for Yezy,” I replied quietly.
“Your father has already sent him away.”
I know,” I replied.
I just want to see him one last time.”
“I understand,” my mother said gently.
She reached out and took my hand in hers.
“Don’t worry.Yezy will come back soon.”
“I hope so,” I said to her.
The two of us sat on the balcony for a while before we went back to our rooms to rest.
The next day, I got up early and went to the balcony to look at the stars.
When I got there, I found that my mother was already sitting on the balcony.
She smiled at me when she saw me coming over and patted the seat next to her.
I went over and sat down next to her.
“You’re early today,” she said with a smile.
“I couldn’t sleep well last night,” I replied.
“So I got up early.I miss Yezy so much that I can’t sleep without him by my side.”
“Your father has already sent someone to take care of Yezy on the battlefield,” she told me gently.
“You don’t have to worry about him.”
I know,” I replied.
“But I still miss him.”
“Why don’t you tell me what happened?”
my mother asked me gently.
“You don’t have to keep it from me.I’m your mother.I want to help you.”
I shook my head and looked away from her.
“No, it’s nothing,” I said with a forced smile.
“It’s just that I miss Yezy too much.”
Star-Crossed Destiny
Sudderly, a missle striked our palace, there are fires everywhere, we are under attack!
The tears welled up in my eyes again as I thought about what happened yesterday, but this time, I wasn’t able to stop them from falling.
I buried my head in my mother’s shoulder and cried out loud for a long time.
“I love him so much,” I said through my tears, “I can’t bear the thought of him being sent away to the battlefield.I don’t know when he will come back or if he will come back at all.”
My mother patted me gently on the back and said to me, “It’s all right, Evelyn.Don’t cry.Yezy is just doing his job.He is a soldier; he has to follow orders.”
I know,” I replied quietly, “but I just…can’t imagine…not having him by my side anymore.”
“Don’t worry,” she said gently as she wiped away my tears, “Yezy will come back soon.He promised you that he would come back, right?”
“I hope so,” I replied quietly, “I really hope so.”
My mother smiled at me and kissed me gently on the forehead.
“Evelyn, you have to be strong. No matter what happens, you have to be strong. You are a princess; you have a duty to fulfill.”
“I know,” I replied with a forced smile, “I’ll try my best.”
“Good girl,” she said gently, “now go back to your room and get some rest. You need it.”
I nodded my head and got up from my seat.
“Yeah, I’ll do that.”
I went back to my room, laid down on my bed, and closed my eyes, trying to fall asleep.
But no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn’t fall asleep.
I kept thinking about what had happened yesterday, about how my father had ordered Yezy to be sent away to the battlefield, about how he had told me that Yezy was no longer my bodyguard.
