I know this because I’ve got the right team behind me.
And most importantly, I know this because I have a meeting with Michael Thompson at 2pm today, and he’s going to give me all the money I need to make it happen.
Michael Thompson is my mentor, and he’s Sarah’s too.
He’s been there for us since the beginning, guiding us through the highs and lows of starting our own business, and now he’s ready to take us to the next level.
He said he liked the sound of it, but he needed to see the product in action before he’d make a decision.
So that’s what we’re going to show him today.
Our revolutionary new software that’s going to change the world.
And if he likes what he sees, he’s going to give us all the money we need to make it happen.
Michael Thompson is a billionaire.
He made his money by launching a software company in his early 20s and then selling it for $350 million five years later.

And now he wants to invest in us.
I know we have a good chance of getting his money today, because I’ve done my research, and I know he’s been looking for his next big thing for months.

I take a deep breath and look at my watch.
We have just under two hours before our meeting with Michael Thompson, so I check my phone to make sure everything is ready for our presentation.
I’ve already gone through our pitch about 20 times, but I still want to make sure I remember every detail for today.
We only get one chance to impress him, and I want to make sure everything goes perfectly.
“Is there anything you need me to do?”
I ask Sarah as she walks into my office with a cup of coffee in her hand.
I smile and take a sip of my coffee before replying, “I just need you to go over our pitch one more time.”
We have been working on this presentation for days now, and it’s finally perfect.

Everything looks perfect, and I know that it’s going to leave a great impression on Thompson.

The butterflies in my stomach go into overdrive as I prepare myself for the most important meeting of my life.
As soon as we told Mr.Thompson about our new software, he was immediately interested in investing in us.

I watch the video one more time before taking another sip of my coffee and returning my attention back to Sarah.

“I’m sure of it,” she replies.

“I hope you’re right,” I say as I check my watch again and see that it’s time for us to head over there.
Are you ready?”
she asks as she turns off the video.
I nod my head and take a deep breath to calm my nerves before grabbing my laptop bag and following her out of the room.
“Let’s go show him what we’ve been working on.”
I take another deep breath to calm my nerves as we pull up in front of the building where Thompson Ventures is located in downtown San Francisco, and I can feel my heart pounding in my chest as I take in the sight of the sleek modern office building that looks like it could have been lifted straight out of the future.
The name of the company is written in big bold letters across the front of the building, and I can’t believe that I am about to meet the man who is going to help me become a billionaire.
The investors at Thompson Ventures are known for their uncanny ability to pick winners in the technology world, and I know that having them on our side is going to open up so many doors for us that wouldn’t have been possible otherwise.
I take a deep breath to calm my nerves before opening the door and stepping out of the car, and a wave of excitement washes over me as I realize that this is the moment that I have been waiting for.
I can’t believe that after all this time, we are finally going to show our software to Thompson, and I can’t help but feel like everything is going to change for us today.
I check the time on my phone and see that we still have twenty minutes until our meeting with Thompson, so I decide to go over my notes one last time before we go inside.
I can’t help but feel like I’m forgetting something, but I know that I have prepared myself for everything that could go wrong, so I take another deep breath to calm my nerves before heading into the building.
I push open the glass doors and step inside the lobby, and I can’t help but feel a sense of pride as I look around at all of the successful technology companies that call this building home.
