Today, I’m going to be a billionare.
I’m going to be a billionare because I have an idea.
An idea that’s going to change the world.
An idea that’s going to make me rich.
An idea that’s going to make me rich today.
I know this because I’ve done my research.
I know this because I’ve spoken to the right people.
I know this because I’ve got the right team behind me.
And most importantly, I know this because I have a meeting with Michael Thompson at 2pm today, and he’s going to give me all the money I need to make it happen.
Michael Thompson is my mentor, and he’s Sarah’s too.
He’s been there for us since the beginning, guiding us through the highs and lows of starting our own business, and now he’s ready to take us to the next level.
He said he liked the sound of it, but he needed to see the product in action before he’d make a decision.
So that’s what we’re going to show him today.
Our revolutionary new software that’s going to change the world.
And if he likes what he sees, he’s going to give us all the money we need to make it happen.
Michael Thompson is a billionaire.
He made his money by launching a software company in his early 20s and then selling it for $350 million five years later.
Then he used that money to buy property, stocks, and even another software company, which he sold for $2 billion just last year.
And now he wants to invest in us.
I know we have a good chance of getting his money today, because I’ve done my research, and I know he’s been looking for his next big thing for months.
He’s been searching for an idea that has the potential to disrupt the entire industry, and I know that’s what we have.
We’re not trying to launch just another product on the market; we’re trying to change the way people think about technology.
And I know that if we can show him our vision today, he’ll be as excited about it as we are.
I’m not just saying this because I need it to be true; I’m saying it because it is true.
I’m saying it because I believe in what we have created.
I’m saying it because I really am going to be a billionare today.
Sarah and I started our company two years ago with just the two of us and an idea.
We were both fresh out of college and had no idea how to start our own business, but we knew we wanted to work for ourselves and create something that could change the world.
So we took all the money we had in our savings account and rented an office space in the city.
Then we hired a few of our friends from university to help us build our first product, which was an app that allowed people to order food from their favorite restaurants and have it delivered straight to their door.

Then Michael Thompson called us up and asked if he could come in for a meeting.
He said he was looking for his next investment opportunity and thought that it could be us.
So we met with him at our office, and after listening to our pitch, he said he wanted to invest $5 million dollars into our company for a 20% equity stake.
This meant that our company was now valued at $25 million dollars!
We couldn’t believe how lucky we were to have someone like Michael Thompson believe in us, and we knew that with his help, we could take our business to the next level.
Since then, he’s helped us hire new employees, launch in new markets, and even secure new investment opportunities.
But now he wants more.
We’re prepared for this meeting with Michael Thompson.
In fact, I’ve been preparing for this moment since the day I came up with the idea.
We started building this software eight months ago, knowing that it would take us this long to get it right.
We’ve spent countless hours speaking with potential customers, gathering feedback on our prototypes, and refining our vision.

That’s why he was able to build a billion-dollar company at such a young age, and that’s why he’s been able to make so many successful investments over the years.
In fact, I know for a fact that he invested in a small startup a few years ago, which is now the biggest player in the software development industry.
I also know that he invested in another small startup last year, which is now making $100 million in revenue per month.
And just last week, he invested in a small startup that is already valued at $1 billion dollars!
So I know that he has a good track record when it comes to picking winners, and I know that he’ll see our potential too.
All I need is an opportunity to show him what we have, and then he’ll realize that he needs us as much as we need him.
I take a deep breath and look at my watch.
We have just under two hours before our meeting with Michael Thompson, so I check my phone to make sure everything is ready for our presentation.
I’ve already gone through our pitch about 20 times, but I still want to make sure I remember every detail for today.
We only get one chance to impress him, and I want to make sure everything goes perfectly.
“Is there anything you need me to do?”
I ask Sarah as she walks into my office with a cup of coffee in her hand.
I smile and take a sip of my coffee before replying, “I just need you to go over our pitch one more time.”
We have been working on this presentation for days now, and it’s finally perfect.
Sarah has spent hours designing beautiful slides with eye-catching graphics and easy-to-read text, while I’ve been practicing my delivery and memorizing my lines.
I know she has everything under control.
“You know me,” she says with a smile, “I’ve got everything covered.”
She is my best friend from college, and we have been inseparable ever since.
We even started a business together a few years ago, and we’ve been working together ever since.
We make a great team because I’m the big-picture guy who comes up with all the ideas, while she’s the detail-oriented person who makes sure everything gets done.
We’re like yin and yang, and I know that I can always count on her to have my back.
I don’t think I could have asked for a better partner in life or in business.
“Are you ready for this?”
she asks after a moment of silence.
“I feel like we have everything we need to impress him.”
“I am as ready as I’ll ever be,” I reply.
“You’ve done an amazing job with our pitch, and I know that he’s going to love it.”
“We’ve come a long way since we started the company four years ago,” she says as she looks around the office.
“I still remember the first time we met Mr.
Thompson was our mentor when we first started our business, and he was the one who introduced us to all of our first clients.
He had already made his fortune in software development by that point and was looking for his next big investment.
As soon as he saw the potential in our idea, he decided to invest $1 million in our business and help us get started.
He’s been like a father to us ever since.
“I can’t believe it’s been four years already,” I say with a smile.
“It only feels like yesterday that you and I were working out of my tiny apartment trying to get our business off the ground.”
“I know what you mean,” she replies.
“It’s amazing how far we’ve come since then.”
We have always been ambitious people who are willing to take risks to achieve our goals.
That’s why it didn’t take us long to grow our company into a successful business.
But even though our company is doing well now, we know that it has the potential to be much bigger than it is today.
That’s why we came up with this new idea that we are going to present to Thompson today.
I check my watch again and see that we only have an hour left until our meeting with Thompson, so I decide to go over our pitch one more time.
I take another sip of my coffee before pressing play on the video that Sarah made for our presentation, and I sit back and watch it on the screen.
She did an amazing job with it.
Everything looks perfect, and I know that it’s going to leave a great impression on Thompson.
I have a feeling that he’s going to be just as excited about our idea as we are, and I can’t wait to see the look on his face when he sees our software in action.
He’s going to realize that this is the opportunity he has been waiting for, and he’s going to want to invest in our business right away.
I can already picture it in my mind: him writing us a check for $10 million dollars and telling us that he can’t wait to see what we’re going to do next.
We’re going to change the industry forever, and we’re going to make billions of dollars doing it.
The butterflies in my stomach go into overdrive as I prepare myself for the most important meeting of my life.
As soon as we told Mr.Thompson about our new software, he was immediately interested in investing in us.
We couldn’t have asked for a better person to partner with, especially since he already knows everything there is to know about making money in our industry.
I know that his investment in our business is going to help us become billionaires much faster than we would have been able to do it on our own, and I can’t wait for him to get onboard.
I watch the video one more time before taking another sip of my coffee and returning my attention back to Sarah.
“Do you think Mr.Thompson is going to love it?”
“I’m sure of it,” she replies.
“He loves technology just as much as you do, so I know that he’s going to be impressed by what we’ve come up with.”
“I hope you’re right,” I say as I check my watch again and see that it’s time for us to head over there.
Are you ready?”
she asks as she turns off the video.
I nod my head and take a deep breath to calm my nerves before grabbing my laptop bag and following her out of the room.
“Let’s go show him what we’ve been working on.”
I take another deep breath to calm my nerves as we pull up in front of the building where Thompson Ventures is located in downtown San Francisco, and I can feel my heart pounding in my chest as I take in the sight of the sleek modern office building that looks like it could have been lifted straight out of the future.
The name of the company is written in big bold letters across the front of the building, and I can’t believe that I am about to meet the man who is going to help me become a billionaire.
The investors at Thompson Ventures are known for their uncanny ability to pick winners in the technology world, and I know that having them on our side is going to open up so many doors for us that wouldn’t have been possible otherwise.
I take a deep breath to calm my nerves before opening the door and stepping out of the car, and a wave of excitement washes over me as I realize that this is the moment that I have been waiting for.
I can’t believe that after all this time, we are finally going to show our software to Thompson, and I can’t help but feel like everything is going to change for us today.
I check the time on my phone and see that we still have twenty minutes until our meeting with Thompson, so I decide to go over my notes one last time before we go inside.
I can’t help but feel like I’m forgetting something, but I know that I have prepared myself for everything that could go wrong, so I take another deep breath to calm my nerves before heading into the building.
I push open the glass doors and step inside the lobby, and I can’t help but feel a sense of pride as I look around at all of the successful technology companies that call this building home.
