A story of love between female commander shepard and tali vas normandy from mass effect
I remember the first time I saw her.
She was standing in the hangar bay of the Normandy, her hands on her hips, looking up at the ship with a mixture of awe and reverence.
I was struck by how small she was, how delicate.
And yet, there was a strength in her that I couldn’t ignore.
I watched her for a long time, wondering what it would be like to hold her in my arms, to feel her body against mine.
I knew then that I had to have her, no matter what it took.
It wasn’t long after that we were assigned to a mission together.
We were on Illium, trying to track down a rogue Spectre who had stolen some top-secret Alliance technology.
We found him in an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of Nos Astra, and as soon as we entered the building, all hell broke loose.
There were mercenaries everywhere, and we were outnumbered and outgunned.
But we fought our way through them, side by side, never once faltering or hesitating.
I’ll never forget the look of panic on his face, the way he turned and ran as fast as his legs would carry him.
But I was faster.
I caught up to him in a narrow alley and tackled him to the ground, my heart racing with excitement and anticipation.
I had him.
I was so close to completing our mission, to capturing this dangerous criminal and bringing him to justice.
I turned around, looking for my team, and that’s when I saw her.
She was standing in a pool of dim, sterile light, her purple-tinted environmental suit glowing softly against the dark, debris-strewn ground.
Her slender form was turned away from me, but I could see the outline of her body, the curve of her hips, the gentle slope of her shoulders.
And then she turned around, and I saw her face for the first time.
Her large, bright eyes were wide with surprise, and her delicate features were perfectly symmetrical and flawless.
She looked like an angel.
It was in that moment that I knew she was the one for me.
The one I had been waiting for all my life.
I wanted to sweep her off her feet, to carry her away to some far-off planet where we could be alone together.
But we had a mission to complete first.
An important mission that would shape the destiny of the galaxy.
We had been running for hours, chasing after our target through the narrow alleyways and bustling boulevards of Nos Astra.
The city was a maze of twisting streets and half-hidden passages, and more than once we had lost sight of our quarry as he ducked into some hidden alcove or secret passage.
But we never gave up hope, never stopped searching for him, no matter how long it took or how far we had to go.
We knew that it was only a matter of time before we caught up with him, before we brought him to justice and completed our mission.
And then we saw him—a tall, dark figure standing in front of an abandoned warehouse on the edge of town.
He knew we were coming.
We could see it in the way he stood there, perfectly still and utterly silent, waiting for us to arrive so he could make his final stand.
I felt a shiver run down my spine as I stepped forward, my heart pounding with excitement and anticipation.
He didn’t stand a chance against us.
"Galactic Love: A Commander's Affair"
It was strange, being in a place this quiet, this still, when all around us, the galaxy was in the throes of war and conflict—and yet, I couldn’t help but feel like we were connected in some way, like we were all part of some grand design that we couldn’t yet see or fully comprehend.
I stood at the threshold of the abandoned warehouse, my hand resting lightly on the cool, metal surface of the door as I waited for the signal to go in.
My team was spread out behind me, their weapons drawn and ready, their eyes scanning the darkness for any sign of movement or danger.
They were all here—Garrus, Tali, Liara, Kaidan, Joker, EDI, Wrex, Ashley, Miranda—and yet, we might as well have been alone for all the noise they were making.
It was strange, I thought, how much we had changed in the few short years we had been together—how much we had grown, how much we had learned—and yet, in this one moment, it felt like no time had passed at all.
Like we were still the same people we had always been.
I don’t know how long we stood there, waiting for the signal to go in—seconds, minutes, hours—and then suddenly, I heard a voice over the comm.
“Ma’am,” the voice said, “there’s someone here to see you.”
I turned around to see who it was, my heart racing with excitement.
I had a hundred different questions running through my mind: Who could it be?What did they want? Were they friend or foe?
But as soon as I saw her standing in the doorway of the warehouse, all those questions vanished from my mind as if they had never existed at all.
She was beautiful.
She was perfect.
She was everything I had ever wanted in a woman—and more.
Her slender form was encased in an environmental suit that left little to the imagination, her delicate features obscured by a glowing faceplate that hid her face from view.
But I could see enough of her to know that she was exactly what I had been looking for.
She was small and fragile-looking.
And yet there was a strength in her that I couldn’t ignore.
She looked like she had been through hell and back, like she had seen things that no one should ever have to see—and yet she was still here, standing in front of me, looking at me with those large, bright eyes of hers.
And then our eyes met—and I knew.
I knew that my life would never be the same again.
I knew that I would do whatever it took to have her.
I knew that we were destined to be together.
And then she spoke—her voice muffled by the faceplate of her environmental suit.
“I’m here to help,” she said.
The words were barely audible over the sound of my heart pounding in my chest.
And yet I heard them, loud and clear.
It felt like a lifetime had passed since we had first set foot on Illium, since we had first been assigned to this mission together.
And yet it also felt like no time had passed at all.
Like we were still standing in that abandoned warehouse, our hearts racing with excitement and anticipation as we prepared to face our enemy one last time.
But we weren’t alone anymore.
We had each other now.

She looked back at me with those bright, curious eyes of hers—the eyes that I could never seem to look away from—and gave me a small nod of her head.
I am ready,” she told me.
Something inside of me tensed up at those words.
I knew that this was it—the moment of truth, the moment that would decide everything.
The moment that would set me on a path from which there would be no return.
I took a deep breath, trying to steady my nerves as I stepped forward.
The light from the open doorway spilled over me as I stood at the threshold of destiny—and then I stepped inside.
I followed her into the warehouse.
My heart pounding with a mix of anticipation and fear as I prepared to face whatever lay ahead.
I could feel her presence beside me—her small form radiating warmth and strength as we moved forward together.
She looked up at me with those bright eyes of hers as we walked—and I met her gaze with a steady one of my own.
She didn’t need to say anything.
We both knew what was at stake here.
We both knew what we were up against.
We both knew that this was it.
And yet we were here anyway.
Together.
Against all odds.
It seemed impossible that this was happening—that we were together like this—and yet it was true.
I was an Alliance soldier.
And she was a Quarian.
Our worlds were so different.
And yet somehow we had found each other anyway.
Somehow we had found love.
I didn’t know what the future held for us.
I didn’t know what would happen when all of this was over.
But I knew one thing for certain.
I knew that I would do whatever it took to keep her by my side.
She looked up at me with those bright eyes of hers as we walked through the warehouse together.
Her presence was a source of strength for me as I faced whatever lay ahead.
She looked so small and fragile—like she needed someone to take care of her.
And yet I knew that she was strong too—stronger than anyone I had ever met before.
We had been through so much together in our time on Illium—more than most people ever experienced in their entire lifetimes.
But through it all, she had never wavered in her loyalty and love for me.
And I had never wavered in mine either.
I gave her a small nod as we made eye contact one last time and then I stepped forward—as I prepared to face whatever lay ahead with my weapon drawn and my heart entwined with hers.
This was it.
And I was ready.
Together, we stepped into the warehouse to face our enemy—and whatever else fate had in store for us.
