I could feel it.
The cosmic balance was shifting.
The very fabric of the universe was being torn asunder, and I could feel it in my bones.
I knew that I had to act, and act quickly, or all would be lost.
I called upon the power of the runes, and in an instant I was transported to EarthPrime.
As I landed on the planet's surface, I could see that it was already too late.
The sky was filled with dark clouds, and lightning crackled in the air.
The very ground beneath my feet shook with the force of the disturbance, and I knew that there was only one person who could be responsible for this cosmic anomaly.
I turned my gaze to the heavens and saw him floating there, his arms crossed over his chest as he surveyed the destruction he had wrought.
He turned his head at the sound of my voice, and a smile played at the corners of his mouth.
"Thor," he said in a deep voice that rumbled like thunder.
"It's been a long time."
I, Thor Odinson, the Rune King of Asgard, stood on the Bifrost, feeling the cosmic balance teetering once more.
The runes had granted me an understanding of the universe's harmony, and any disturbance to that balance resonated within my being.
For the second time in as many days, I felt that harmony shatter like glass.
Once again I could feel the fabric of the universe being torn apart and I knew I had to act.
For the sake of Asgard, and of EarthPrime, I had to act.
In an instant, I was on EarthPrime, guided by a flash of lightning and a clap of thunder.
As I landed at the edge of a busy street, I knew I was too late.
The sky was black and filled with dark clouds as far as the eye could see.
Bolts of lightning crackled in the air and rumbled like thunder, shaking the earth with their fury.
I raised my eyes to the heavens and saw Asgard's ancient ruins looming in the distance, their jagged spires reaching up into the sky like broken fingers.
It was a stark contrast to the modern city that surrounded me.
This disturbance had brought me to Metropolis, one of EarthPrime's largest cities.
I could see people running through the streets in a panic, their faces filled with fear and despair.
They knew that this kind of storm was not natural and that something very bad was happening.
The lightning crackled again and I saw a massive tear appear in the sky.
It was a portal to another dimension, one that would soon be used to bring chaos to this world.
I could feel my blood boil with rage at this affront to order.
This anomaly was no natural occurrence; it was a deliberate act of chaos that threatened to engulf both our realms in darkness.
I knew that I would have to act quickly before it was too late.
I called upon the power of the runes once more and wove them around myself into an impenetrable barrier that would protect me from whatever this unknown threat might be.
With Mjolnir in my hand and the Odinforce at my command, I flew up into the sky and headed for Asgard's ancient ruins.
As I flew, I could see that there was a figure standing at the edge of the portal.
He was tall and muscular with long blond hair and a noble bearing that spoke of both wisdom and experience.
I recognized him at once; he was one of my oldest and dearest friends.
"Thor," he said as he turned his head and saw me flying toward him.
"What are you doing here?"
"I'm here to stop you," I said as I landed on the ground before him.
"If you open that portal you will bring nothing but chaos to this world."
He laughed, a deep and hearty sound that filled the air with joy.
"Chaos is what I do best," he said as he raised his hand and prepared to unleash his power on me.
Cosmic Clash: Gods Unite to Save Realms
He was no ordinary foe; Clark Kent was one of our greatest champions, known throughout all the Nine Realms as Superman Milkman, protector of EarthPrime and all its people.
He had been given his powers by our sun, which shone with a yellow light that was different from our own red suns, and because of this he was able to perform feats of strength and power that would make even an Asgardian god envious.
He was also a skilled warrior who had been trained in many forms of combat by some of Earth's greatest heroes, including Batman and Wonder Woman Milkman from Themyscira.
But as powerful as he was, he was no match for me, for I am Thor Odinson, Rune King of Asgard, and there are few who can stand against me in battle.
I braced myself as Superman Milkman unleashed his power on me, but instead of feeling my body being crushed by the force of his attack, I was surprised to find myself unharmed and standing in the midst of a raging storm.
I looked around and saw that we were no longer in Metropolis, but rather in a place far away from any city or town, where there were only mountains and forests for miles in every direction.
I was about to call out to Superman Milkman and demand an explanation, when I caught sight of a figure standing at the edge of the forest.
He was tall and muscular with long blond hair and a proud bearing, and he was holding a massive hammer in one hand and a glowing sword in the other.
I knew at once who it was; he was one of my oldest and dearest friends, Thor Odinson, Rune King of Asgard.
"What is the meaning of this?"I demanded as I flew over to him and landed on the ground before him.
"How did you bring us here?"
He smiled at me, a warm and friendly smile that was very different from the grimaces of villains past.
"I am sorry, my friend," he said as he sheathed his sword.
"But I needed to speak with you and this was the only way that I could think of to do so without being overheard."
I could feel my heart pounding with fear as I heard his words, for if Thor had gone to such lengths to speak with me then it must be something very important indeed.
"What is it?"I asked as I took a step toward him.
"What is going on?"
He looked away for a moment, as if he were gathering his thoughts before speaking.
When he looked back at me, I saw that his eyes were filled with a deep sadness, and I felt a chill run down my spine.
"I have come to warn you," he said in a voice that was almost a whisper.
"I have seen a vision of the future, and it is not a good one.
A great darkness is coming and it threatens to consume everything in its path."
As I flew up into the sky, I could feel the weight of Mjolnir in my hand, and I knew that it was time to face this unknown threat head-on.
It had been forged in the heart of a dying star, and its power was so great that it could shatter entire worlds with a single blow.
It was also my most trusted weapon, one that I had wielded in battle against countless foes since the day I had first picked it up all those centuries ago.
Together we had fought gods and monsters alike, and there were few who could stand against us in battle.

It has been said that those who face the fury of the storm god are doomed to fall before him, and as I flew higher into the sky, I wondered whether this would be true of my opponent as well.
Cosmic Clash: Gods Unite to Save Realms
With a mighty shout, I called upon the power of the runes and the Odinforce and sent a bolt of lightning streaking down from the sky.
As it struck the ground below, it exploded with a deafening roar, and when the smoke finally cleared, I saw that it had left a perfect crater in its wake.
As I descended to land on the pavement below, a series of minor earthquakes rippled out from beneath my feet.
The people of Midgard scattered in fear, their mortal hearts unable to comprehend what was happening.
To them it must have seemed as if the very earth itself was rebelling against them.
Perhaps it was for in a way it was as I prepared to unleash my power.
As I landed on the ground with a mighty thud, I turned to face my opponent with a grim smile.
I knew that he was watching me, and sure enough when I looked up I saw him floating high above the city with a confident smile on his face.
His dark hair was blowing in the wind and his glasses were flashing in the sunlight, but it was his eyes that caught my attention.
They were burning with an intensity that I could only describe as fierce, and when he saw me looking at him he smiled and winked at me as if to say "I see you" before flying down to land on the pavement beside me.
"Superman," I said as he landed beside me and flashed me an arrogant smirk.

"What are you doing here?"
His smile widened as he turned to face me, and I could see a smoldering fire in his eyes as he looked at me.
"You know why I'm here," he said in a voice that was soft but firm.
He stepped forward and I could feel the heat of his body as he approached me.
"I'm here to take back what is rightfully mine."
If only it were so simple.
But nothing in this life was ever simple or easy, and if there was one thing I knew for certain it was that there would be no easy answers this time around.
With a deep breath, I turned to face him and drew my sword from its sheath.
"Then come and take it," I said with a smile.
In an instant I was upon him.
The air around us crackled with electricity and the ground shook beneath us as we clashed in a blinding flash of light.
With every blow I struck him I called upon the power of the runes and the Odinforce to channel their energy through my body and into my weapon.
I could feel Mjolnir vibrating in my hand as it absorbed the energy I sent through it.
But it was not enough.
He was too powerful.
His muscles rippled beneath his skin like steel cables and his eyes glowed with an unearthly light as he fought back against me.
With each blow he struck he sent shockwaves rippling through my body that left me reeling in pain.
As I stumbled backward I saw him raise his hand to strike again.
I knew that I had no chance of dodging the blow so instead I called upon the power of the runes and released them in a final burst of energy.
With a deafening roar I unleashed the full fury of the Odinforce upon him.
This was it; the moment of reckoning had arrived.
