The night was dark and the moon was hidden behind the clouds.
The wind was howling and the trees were swaying.
The atmosphere was eerie and it seemed like the nature itself was mourning.
John Harper stood at the entrance of the cemetery, staring at his love's grave.
He had been standing there for hours now, but he didn't feel like moving from there.
He felt like he had lost his soul along with her.
He felt empty and hollow.
He felt like he had lost everything in his life.
He had lost his parents when he was just a kid, but he didn't feel as devastated as he was feeling now.
He had lost his love, his life, his everything.
His heart ached with pain and he felt like crying out loud, but no tears came out of his eyes.
He felt like a part of him had died along with her.
He felt dead from inside.
He clenched his fists in anger and frustration as the memories of what happened to her flashed in front of his eyes.
His love was a decent girl and she was a virgin when he met her.
She had been waiting for the right guy to come and make her his.
John was that guy and he was the happiest man when she gave herself to him.
He promised to marry her, he promised her a life full of happiness.
He had even planned their honeymoon.
But all his promises were left unfulfilled.
She was gone now and she wasn't coming back.
She had been brutally raped and murdered by those bastards, just to satisfy their lust.
He couldn't even imagine what she might have gone through before losing her life.
Just thinking about it made him angry.
He felt like he was going to explode any moment and he was going to kill everyone who was involved in raping and murdering her.
He clenched his fists tighter and gritted his teeth as he tried to calm himself, but he couldn't.
His hatred was overpowering his senses and it was making him blind.
He took a deep breath and slowly exhaled as he tried to control his emotions.
But it was too painful for him to forget what happened to her.
What was her fault?
Why did they take her away from him?
Wasn't he enough for her that she needed others too?
He loved her with all his heart and soul.
He would have given his life to keep her happy, then why did she betray him?
The sound of the gunshot echoed in the night, dispelling the eerie atmosphere for a moment.
John stood still at the entrance of the cemetery with an empty look in his eyes as he stared at the grave in front of him.
The wind blew harder and he shivered as the cold breeze hit his face.
He didn't feel like moving from there even after taking the revenge for his love's death.
He still felt empty and hollow from inside.
His heart ached with pain as he remembered how happy they were before.
They had planned so many things and he was so excited to spend his whole life with her.
But all his dreams were shattered into pieces now and there was no way for him to glue them back together again.
He remembered how happy she was when she told him that they were going to have a baby.
He remembered how her face glowed in happiness when she told him that the doctor had confirmed their pregnancy.
She had been so happy that day.
She said that it is a blessing of God for them.
She said that she loved him.
And just few days later, she was gone.
Forever.
He closed his eyes tightly as the memories flashed in front of his eyes.
He felt dizzy as the pain in his heart increased, but he didn't move from there.
He opened his eyes after a few minutes, but the dizziness didn't go away.
The world looked blurred in front of him.
He felt like he was falling, but there was no ground beneath him.
His knees gave up and he fell on the ground with a loud thud.
He held his head in his hands, trying to calm himself, but it didn't work.
He felt tired, but he didn't feel like sleeping.
He didn't want to sleep without her, not anymore.
Chapter 1: The Beginning Of The End
His throat felt dry and hoarse.
He felt like crying out loud, but no tears came out of his eyes.
And then, all of a sudden, something inside him snapped.
A loud scream escaped his throat as despair took over him completely.
His heart was shattered into million pieces and it bled with the memory of her.
He fell on the ground on his knees as pain radiated throughout his body.
He felt like he was being stabbed with hundreds of knives at once, but there were no wounds on his body.
There was only one wound on his body, in his heart.
And it hurt like hell.
It hurt so much that he felt like dying at that moment.
His whole body shivered with the intensity of the pain and he fell forward on the grave in front of him.
The soil beneath him was damp with the tears he had shed for her, but he didn't care about anything now.
His arms gave up and he fell on the ground, spreading over her grave as if he wanted to be close to her, to feel her presence, to have her in his life again, just for one more time.
His sobs echoed throughout the cemetery, but there was no one to listen to them.
The trees swayed even harder as the wind blew more strongly than before, trying to knock some sense into him, but it didn't work that way.
The stars shone brighter in the sky, as if sending their light to comfort him, but nothing could comfort him now.
Nothing could take away the pain of losing her from him.
It wasn't easy to forget the love of your life, the woman who was your reason to smile, your solace in times of sadness, your light in darkness of the night, your everything, your all.
How was that possible?
How could you forget someone who had been with you through thick and thin?
How could you forget someone who had been there when you needed them the most?
How could you forget someone who loved you more than themselves?
How could you forget someone who had given their life to you?
How could you forget that someone whom you had loved with all your heart?
John Harper had loved her with all his heart.
He loved her more than anything else in this world, more than anyone else in this world, more than even himself.
Then how could he forget her?
How could he forget all the memories they had made together?
How could he forget all the promises they had made under the moonlight?
But that’s what he had to do now.
He had to forget everything about her because she was gone now.
She wasn’t coming back ever again.
The sobs subsided after some time, but John didn’t get up from there.
His world was dead.
Just like the woman he loved.
Just like his life.
His world was not turning on its axis anymore.
His world was standing still, just like the time on his watch.
He looked at his watch again.
It showed 12:00 a.
Just like it did last time when he saw it.
The time was not moving anymore.
It was not changing anymore.
Because his world was not changing anymore.
It was not moving anymore.
It was standing still.
He couldn’t understand why he was looking at the time, but then he knew why he was doing it.
Because those were the last words she had spoken to him.
She had said I love you and then she was gone.
Gone from his life.
His heart skipped a beat as soon as the thought crossed his mind.
She was gone.
No matter how much he tried to deny it, no matter how much he tried to lie to himself, no matter how much he tried to convince himself that it wasn’t true, it was still true.
She was gone from his life.
She wasn’t coming back ever again.
“She is with me,” a voice in his head whispered softly.
And then all the memories of her came flooding back in his mind.
All the memories of their nights spent under the moonlight; all the memories of their mornings filled with whispered promises; all the memories of those stolen moments of joy.
Stolen by him from her life.
Stolen by him from her family’s life.
He looked down at her grave as a surge of anger swept across him.
He wasn’t angry at her for leaving him alone in this cruel world; he was angry at himself for not being able to protect her from this cruel world; he was angry at this world for taking her away from him so brutally; he was angry at those people who had done this to her; he was angry at those people who had taken her away from him.
He cursed them all as he felt helpless about his situation.
He felt helpless because he couldn’t protect her from this cruel world.
He felt helpless because he couldn’t take her away from this cruel world.
He felt helpless because he couldn’t stop those people from doing what they did to her.
And most of all, he felt helpless because he couldn’t take her place in that grave instead of her.
Because that’s what he wanted to do right now.
That’s what he wanted to do as soon as he found out what happened to her.
But he couldn’t do it now because she was already there and he couldn’t be there with her before taking his revenge from those people who had done this to her.
It was a vicious cycle and the only way out of it was to take his revenge from those people who did this to her.
And he knew how he would do that.
His eyes turned red with anger as he thought about it.
He would make those people pay for what they did to her.
He would do everything in his power to make sure that they were punished for what they did to her.
