A story about superhero with unique superpower to reborn after his death. But he only can reborn in his 20's year.
The Joker was sitting on the rooftop, his feet dangling off the edge, as he stared down at us.
He had a stupid grin on his face, like he always did, and as he shook the bag of chips in his hand, a few fell off and landed on the floor.
We were standing in front of him, our hearts beating fast, but we were determined not to let him see it.
We could never let him see our fear.
He had kidnapped a bunch of kids from an orphanage and left them inside some building that was wired with explosives.
And now, he was sitting there, taunting us, telling us that he was going to blow up the kids unless we left the city right now.
“Decisions, decisions.” He opened his arms wide as if he was waiting for our answer.
What he didn’t know was that we didn’t need to think about it for even a second.
We’d never leave the city, and he knew that.
That’s why he had put us in this impossible situation, where we had to choose between saving the kids or saving the city.
But the Joker didn’t know us as well as he thought he did.
“Don’t worry,” I whispered to Emily and Lucas.
“We’ll save the kids and catch the Joker before he can finish his damn chips.”
“How do you know we can do it?”
Emily asked in a small voice.
“What if we can’t save them all? What if we have to choose? What if…?”
“Calm down,” I said as I put my hand on her shoulder.
She turned toward me, her eyes wide with fear.
“We won’t have to choose.
We’ll save them all.And then we’ll catch the Joker and throw his ass in jail like we always do.”
“But what about what he said?”
she asked as she looked away from me and at the building behind us.
I knew she was looking at the children who were inside, scared and alone, their tiny bodies tied up with ropes so they couldn’t run away.
I didn’t need to turn around to see them because I saw them every time I closed my eyes.
I saw their little faces, their big eyes filled with terror.
I saw them begging for their lives, praying for someone to come and save them.
And I knew that we had to be those people because no one else would come in time.
“Don’t listen to him,” I said as I turned her face toward me.
“We’ve faced worse than this before and come out on top.”
“I know,” she said as she nodded her head.
“And we’ll do it again.”
“We have no choice,” Lucas said with a sigh as he looked at the building behind us.
“The Joker won’t leave until all of these children are dead. And who knows how many other people will die before he’s stopped.”
“So what’s the plan?”
Lucas asked as we huddled together in front of the building.

“What if the Joker has already triggered the bombs and they’re going to explode as soon as we open the door?”
“Then we’ll have to find a way to defuse them,” I said with a shrug.
“There’s no time,” he argued.
“Maybe we should wait for the police to arrive.
They have bomb squads and can handle it better than us.
And the Joker will be distracted and won’t have time to hurt the kids if he has to deal with them.”
“And maybe the Joker has already killed the kids and is just pretending they’re still alive to buy himself more time.” I shook my head.
“We can’t take that risk.We have to go in there and make sure they’re safe.”
“Then let’s go,” Emily said as she pushed the door open and entered the building.
We followed her inside and closed the door behind us.
The hallway was dark, and the only sound we could hear was our footsteps echoing off the walls.
“Do you think he’s here?”
Lucas asked in a whisper as he looked around.
“I don’t know,” I replied as I shook my head.
“I can’t sense anyone’s presence except for us.
But that doesn’t mean he isn’t here.
He could be invisible or hiding in one of the rooms.”
“So what do we do?”
“Split up and search the rooms.
I’ll go left and check the first room.
Em, you check the room at the end of the hallway.
Lucas, you check the room on the right.
We’ll meet back here in fifteen minutes.”
They nodded their heads and each went to a different room.
I went to the room on the left and opened the door slowly.
The room was dark and I couldn’t see anything.
It was as if it was empty.
But I knew that it wasn’t.
I could hear them.
I could hear their cries for help.
I could hear their hearts beating fast with fear.
And I knew that they were still here.
But where?
As I entered the room and closed the door behind me, I realized that I had no idea what I was going to do when I found them.
I had never been in a situation like this before and I didn’t know how to handle it.
But that didn’t matter right now.
The only thing that mattered was finding those kids and making sure they were safe.
Even if it cost me my own life.
I faced him, my heart beating out of my chest as I waited for his answer, but he just sat there and stared at me with a stupid grin on his face.
His green hair was a mess as usual, and his eyes were bloodshot and filled with madness, but he wasn’t going to scare me.
No one could scare me anymore.
Not after everything I’d been through.
Not after everything I’d seen.
“What are you waiting for?”
he asked as he crossed his legs and put his hands in his lap.
“I’m waiting for you to tell me where the kids are,” I replied as I took a step forward.
“The kids?”
He laughed as he shook his head. “What kids?”
“The kids you kidnapped,” I said as I clenched my jaw.
“Now tell me where they are so we can save them and put an end to this.”
“Put an end to what?”
he asked as he opened his arms wide.
“I haven’t done anything.”
“Don’t play dumb with me,” I said as I took another step forward.
“You know exactly what you did.And now you’re going to pay for it.”
“How?”

He laughed again as he shook his head, but this time it wasn’t as loud or as obnoxious as before.
“How are you going to make me pay?”
he asked, his voice cold and serious as he glared at me with hatred in his eyes.
“How are you going to put an end to this?”
“I don’t know,” I said with a shrug as I opened my hands wide, but he just stared at me with a look of disbelief on his face.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen,” I said as I took another step towards him, “but I know that it will happen.”
“And what is it?”
he asked as he sat back in his chair and crossed his arms over his chest.
“You tell me, Alex,” he said as he leaned forward and stared at me with an evil grin on his face, “what do you think will happen?”
“You will die,” I said as I clenched my jaw.
“I don’t think so,” he said as he shrugged his shoulders, but there was fear in his eyes now, fear that wasn’t there before, fear that he didn’t want me to see.
“You’re wrong,” I said as I took another step towards him, “and you know it.”
“Do I?”
he asked as he stood up from his chair, but I just shook my head as I took a step back.
“Yes,” I replied as I clenched my jaw even tighter than before, “and so do you.”
“No, Alex, you’re wrong,” he said as he took a step towards me, but this time I didn’t move.
He was close enough now for me to see the tears in his eyes, the tears that he didn’t want me to see, the tears that he had been holding back all along, but it was too late for him to hide them now.
“You’re wrong,” he said again as he wiped the tears away from his eyes and took a deep breath before continuing, “and you know it.”
“What do you want from me?”
I asked as I took another step towards him, but this time he didn’t move away from me.
“I want you to kill me,” he said with a shrug.
“I want you to put an end to all of this,” he said as he opened his hands wide.
“I want you to save those kids and make sure that nothing like this ever happens again.”
“And how am I supposed to do that?”
I asked with a frown.
“By killing me,” he replied with a shrug.
“That’s the only way.”
“The only way?”
I asked with a scoff.
“We’ve beaten you before and we’ll beat you again,” I said with a shrug.
“And we’ll keep doing it until you’re dead,” he replied with a laugh.
“But why wait?”
he asked with a shrug.
“You can end all of this right now if you just kill me,” he said as he opened his hands wide.
“You can save those kids and make sure that nothing like this ever happens again,” he said as he pointed at me with a smirk on his face.
“You know what we want,” he said with a shrug.

“My name is Alex Johnson and what do you think will happen if you kill me?”
I found myself in a tense standoff with the Joker, who had captured Emily Parker and Lucas Smith.
Despite my best efforts, he seemed to have everything under control and was ready for whatever plan I came up with next.
“I’ll figure something out,” I said as I clenched my jaw and took a deep breath.
“There has to be a way,” I whispered to myself as I tried to think of something else, something better than what we’ve already tried before.
“And how are you going to do that?”
he asked with a laugh.
“You know what the answer is and so do they,” he said as he pointed at Emily and Lucas, who were both tied up and gagged next to him.
“But if you don’t want to kill them then just let them go and everything will be fine,” he said with a smirk as he pulled out a gun and pointed it at them.
I’m not going to let them go,” I said with a shrug as I clenched my jaw even tighter than before.
“But if you think that’s going to stop me then think again,” he replied with a smirk before shooting them both in the head.
“I’m not afraid of you,” I said as I took a step towards him, but he just laughed and shook his head.
“I know you’re lying,” he said with a shrug.
“I know what you’re capable of and so do they,” he added with a grin as he pointed at Emily and Lucas.
“But if you think you can beat me then think again because I already have everything under control,” he added as he sat back in his chair.
“And what’s that supposed to mean?”
I asked with a frown.
“It means that I have everything under control and I don’t need your help,” he replied with a grin.
“I just need you to admit that you were wrong and that I was right all along.”
“Right about what?”
I asked as I clenched my jaw.
“Right about everything,” he replied with a grin as he stood up from his chair and walked over to me.
“Right about you and everyone else who thinks they can put an end to all of this,” he added as he leaned in close.
“And what did you find out?”
I asked as I opened my hands wide.
“What do you know about me?”
“I know everything there is to know about you,” he replied with a grin.
“But most importantly, I know your weakness.”
“My weakness?”
I asked as my heart started beating faster than before.
“Yes,” he replied with a nod.
“And now that I know what it is, I can finally put an end to all of this once and for all.”
“What is it?”
I asked with a frown.
“I’m not going to tell you,” he replied with a shrug before walking back over to Emily and Lucas.
“But I will say this, Alex Johnson, you are going down and there’s nothing you can do about it,” he added as he sat back down in his chair.
“You’re going down and there’s nothing you can do about it,” he repeated before laughing again.
I’m not going down without a fight,” I said as I clenched my jaw.
