The twisted science of a top secret facility has infected clones, of a superhero team from a alternate universe with a virulent zombie strain. Now it’s up to a special ops team to keep the plague contained within the facility — whatever the cost.
Captain James Carter
determined, and pragmatic. James is haunted by the loss of his brother in a similar mission years ago. He leads his team through the facility, fighting to contain the outbreak and uncover its source. As they navigate the chaos, he faces moral dilemmas and confronts his own mortality.
Lieutenant Michael Chen
intelligent, and quickthinking. Michael's medical expertise proves invaluable in treating wounded teammates and analyzing the virus spreading through the facility. Despite facing unimaginable horrors daily, he remains focused on finding a cure or vaccine to stop the plague.
Private First Class Lisa Nguyen
fearless, and resilient. Lisa excels at navigating tight spaces and handling close combat situations effectively. Her camaraderie with her fellow soldiers helps maintain morale during their perilous mission to contain the outbreak.
Twisted science.
That’s all I could think of when I heard the story, the kind of sick, warped crap only a bunch of mad scientists could come up with.
Clones of superheroes from an alternate universe, infected with a zombie virus.
How the hell do you even propose something like that?
"Sir, we’re about ready to breach," my sergeant said, shaking me out of my reverie.
I nodded, half tempted to rub my eyes like I’d just heard the latest bad sci-fi script.
This wasn’t a movie, or a mission brief from a cranky colonel with an itchy trigger finger.
The facility was real, and so were the zombies roaming its halls.
Three weeks ago, we got word something had gone wrong at an unnamed site buried deep in the mountains.
A clean special ops team had been sent in to contain the situation, with orders to kill everything inside if necessary.
They never made it out.
Two weeks ago, a second team had been sent, with similar orders.
They’d managed to send one distress call before they went dark.
Last week, a third team had been sent in with the same orders.
They’d sent two distress calls before falling silent.
This morning, my team had been sent in with the same orders.
And now, it was our turn.
I signaled my team, and we moved in formation toward the entrance.
Private Thompson took point, his rifle steady as he approached the door.
Lisa flanked him, her eyes scanning the area for any movement.
Emily covered our rear, her finger hovering over the trigger.
We breached the entrance, and a guttural growl echoed through the corridor.
The stench hit us like a wall, a noxious cloud of rotting flesh and death.
"Vitals are good," Michael whispered over the comms, his voice steady despite the tension.
"Move forward."
We advanced cautiously, stepping over debris and shattered glass.
The facility was eerily quiet, except for the occasional groan or shuffling footstep from deeper inside.
Suddenly, a shadow lunged from a side room.
"Hold your fire!" Lisa shouted, recognizing the figure just in time.
"It's one of ours," she added, her voice tinged with disbelief.
The soldier, barely conscious and covered in blood, rasped, "They've found a way to control them... the clones are not what they seem."
"Fall back," I ordered, realizing the situation had just turned from bad to worse.
Thompson fired a burst at the approaching horde, taking down the closest ones.
Lisa darted ahead, securing our exit route.
Emily provided covering fire, her shots precision and deadly.
Michael grabbed the wounded soldier, pulling him along with us.
We moved through the dimly lit corridors, the sound of the horde growing louder behind us.
I glanced back over my shoulder, seeing the infected clones gaining ground.
"Faster!" we shouted to each other, pushing past exhaustion.
We reached a junction in the corridor and I slammed the door closed behind us, buying ourselves a few precious moments of time.
I locked it, knowing it wouldn’t hold for long.
