Elixir of Eternity: Betrayal and Redemption
Scenario:Create a story around the topic of immortality. The master of the protagonist is the son of Xu Fu, the ancient alchemist of Qin Shihuang. Because he was buried with Qin Shihuang, he stole the elixir of life in the tomb and accidentally gained immortality. I was born in the late Western Han Dynasty and raised by my ancestors, who were also the followers of Xu Fu.

Deciphering the code left by my master, I found the ingredients and method of creating the elixir of life in his tomb:
Back then, Qin Shihuang had sent three thousand boys and girls along with thirty thousand strong young men to search for immortality for him.
They searched for three years and never found anything because there was no such thing as immortality in this world…
People’s lives were so fragile and short that they could only live up to a hundred years at most.
But Qin Shihuang never believed any of it, so he made his subordinates build a huge tomb for him to sleep in for a thousand years after he died, which would allow him to come back to life again once his people found the elixir of life for him…
In fact, someone did find it.
But when they told Qin Shihuang about it, they were already too late because he had already been poisoned to death by mercury-filled pills made by his own doctor.
The emperor’s death was a big secret, and no one knew about it except for his doctor, who had run away to save himself from being killed after the emperor’s death.
To save the emperor’s reputation, they pretended that the emperor was still alive while they secretly gave him the elixir of life meant for him to save him from the dead…
But, by then, it was already too late because I had already stumbled upon it in the tomb when I accidentally broke into it!
In the year 221 B.C., Qin Shihuang succeeded in unifying China, which was one of the most powerful countries in the world at that time.
And to show off his power as an emperor, he wanted to become immortal so that other emperors of other countries would look up to him…
So he sent his men to search for immortality for him, and that was when they found the code left by my master in his tomb.
Xu Fu had been studying this code since he had found it, and after reading it multiple times, he finally understood what it meant…
He understood why people were living in this world and why people died.
He had also understood what kind of person was worthy of being immortalized and what kind of person wasn’t…
And this was when he decided to live forever and leave his tomb with his followers to find people who were worthy of being immortalized.
After bringing people back to his tomb for them to take the elixir of life, my master left to let them live for a thousand years on their own while he lived in seclusion for them to grow up without any interference from him…
